Q431 Does D&D 3.5 use the 2000 lb ton or the 2240 lb ton?

This isn't really a rules question, but since D&D originates in the United States you should default to the American definition of a ton which is 2,000 pounds. Note that reading a rulebook which has been translated or localized for another language or region outside the US might change the answer, but in the United States we use the 2,000 pound ton.
