Generally speaking, the Outsiders can only enter the Multiverse if summoned by powerful wizardry, and as soon as the summons is finished, the pattern-magic of the Outer Gates expels them back to the Far Realms. Nevertheless, over the eternities, two mighty Outsiders have breached the Gates' protections, embedding themselves into Reality like parasites. The titan known as Atarka World-Render was the first, and it took all the Gods working as one to destroy it. Night's Sorrow was second, and to this day its touch cannot be wholly eradicated from the Multiverse. I grow increasingly convinced that Riker Garrosh is a third such intrusion.
