She concentrates a moment: there are a lot of things she can do in the temple that she can't do outside

Geneva's with that black pokey-thing. Huh. And she is a black pokey-thing. Double-huh.

She giggles to herself, but then remembers

But she's engaged to that Nick guy, so they're probably not going to make more ... wait, how does that work? Two of those get together and you end up with a little squeaky brown pokey-thing? That's just too weird. Anyway... off to school!

And so she ambles off that way, leaving the house as a curiosity for now.

Indeed: where the passage to the yard was fairly well silent a moment before, there now come chaotic sounds of playing children. And the noise grows rapidly louder... the passage apparently isn't actually very long.

<Come on!>

Outside, some of the others are already playing: There's Vulpie (vulpix), Princess (espeon), and Ember (flareon) romping in what appears to be a game of tag. Sparky (jolteon) and Aki (a little silver dragon and not a Pokémon at all) are with the kids playing in a sand box of all things. Some of the girls are dressing up a Sylveon (named Belle) with doll clothes and ribbons. The wombat is notably missing now.

Midnight points out the teachers and the new gym leader.. who is fairly clearly not Zack. Midnight explains.

But now they are noticed and several children come over excitedly
