What is in the SRD are several spells with "mass" in their names, that that work just the same as the "mass" spells seen in the comic, with those same names. How obtuse does this thread have to get?

More pedantically: 3.5 generally handles "Mass" spells as a separate spell. There are other ways to accomplish multi-target spells like the ones V is using, but:

• They are immensely more obscure and have significant qualifications on their use (war spells, eldritch tapestry)
• Unless I'm forgetting an obscure but very powerful metamagic (or similar)*, they're not called "Mass X"

*So powerful, in fact, I cannot reasonably expect it would remain obscure - such a feat would be immensely powerful for a spells know caster like a Sorcerer.

Well, in theory, it should max out before 180º.
