I kinda feel like the description should have a nod towards the notion that the comic is a (loved) job, not art for arts sake. I realize that may be sensitive terrain to some but it's kind of an important part of the post and a thoughtful defense of art as commerce...

I agree. I think the proposed summary could be made shorter on the (secondary, imo) matter of the comic's origin, thus leaving room for something about the comic as a business. For me, the phrase "This is a business. It is a business of selling a creative work, but it is still a business." is the most important in that quote, and it addresses something that many on the forum don't realize or have a hard time understanding.
