Maybe I should verify that you are talking about this line: "He'd never seen Stanley lead his units that effortlessly." That's not a positive statement about Stanley. Was there something else?
Parson said Caesar can lead troops better than Stanely; that I never denied.
I thought it interesting that Parson uses Stanley as yard stick. From context it is apparent Parson is commending Caesar, not putting down Stanley. Which in turn suggest Stanley has not only the usual skill for an warlord at commanding, but a better one.
