The vampires need to replenish their spells. With just grappling and fangs, they killed a cleric of Thor who was at least level 5

As far as I am aware, we do not know if it is before or after dusk. They may have already refreshed spells. All we know time-wise is that the OotS should arrive before midnight - which might be a few hours down the line. Did I miss some clue?
