Muun is initially confident, tracing his steps back for a half hour or so. The buck is heavy across his shoulders, but the pride he feels in finding food for his companions pushes him on.

As the last light of day begins to fade, his confidence starts to waver. He starts noticing familiar trees and boulders, there is a sinking feeling in his stomach that he is retracing his steps. This suspicion is confirmed as he ducks through the tangled branches of several saplings and finds himself at the edge of a small lake.

The surface of the lake is calm and smooth, perfectly reflecting the stars now appearing in the darkening sky above. The ground around the lake is blanketed in soft moss and thin grass. Little daisies dot the moss, and several frogs fill the air around the lake with a soft, resonant cacophony of croaks.

Muun is weary from hauling the dead deer through the woods and his stomach rumbles in hunger. It is getting quite dark, and this might be a good place to hunker down for the night before trying to locate the group.
