It's been a while since I've seen it, but there's a few things that particularly stand out here - starting with the huge amount of blatantly alien life definitely not from Earth history. Their implicit setting simply doesn't fit what's shown.

Meanwhile for something like Avatar the setting of the strange fantasy world and associated spirit world fits just fine. For something like Up the setting of somewhere in south america also works, with every animal there being a real animal (if subject to stylized art).
