Frederic saw some orcs? Bugbears? Goblins? He has heard about this creatures, but never seen one before. He had a bad feeling in his stomach. And that they were heavy armed, didn't make it better.
But they haven't recognized Frederic and Orth yet. He stood still and listened what they were saying.

And because he couldn't understand what they were saying, Frederic made a short prayer, looked over to Orth and signaled him to come with him, took a deep breath and stepped forward
Hey there! he shouted to the strangers What are you doing here and why are you wearing armor and sword? Because of guys like you we have to patrol! Tell me! The thin guy tried to be as mighty as he could, with his hands on his sword.
