As his axe smashes into an invisible shield around Tarak, Ulf growls. Feagon and Celesta both miss him. Grack stabs at his back.

Ulf drops what looks like a glass bead to the floor, where it shatters; almost immediately thereafter, he slashes ferociously at Tarak, following up by gesturing to Celesta. The dogs move to surround and attack her.
