Rough idea: 1. Captured by slavers
2. Saved by the captain who was supposed to transport the slaves to sale
3. Falls in love with said captain and marries her
4. She is hung for thievery
5. Attempting to end his life he is saved by a minor god and convinced to become his paladin.
