You feel someone drop to their knees next to you and probing hands begin checking your breathing and pulse.

You're turned over onto your side by the man, an elf—judging by the ears.

"{a melodic language, asking a question}" he asks, but you're unable to respond.

Apparently deciding that you are most definitely not okay, he instructs a larger, wispy looking "person" to pick you up and carry you back to a place called "Mother's Grove," the name of which being the only thing you've been able to clearly understand.

"{a melodic language, trying to sound reassuring}"

About twenty minutes of bumpy walking finds you being carried into a well maintained clearing surrounding a massive, ancient oak tree. The trunk itself is 40 to 50 feet tall before even considering the huge branches. The crown of branches is more than twice that across, with many branches larger than the surrounding trees. The ground is an almost smooth carpet of fallen leaves with no sign of fallen branches.
