Elrembriel sees Aurora and her captor in the distance, notes the failure of Waylan's arrows, but she can't see any physical barrier there, even with her magically enhanced senses. If Waylan can't pick her up, what then? She decides to hinder the demons, in an attempt to keep the path as clear as possible for her friends.
