To be a bit of a pedant:



I think nectar and, to some extent (and not always), fruit would apply too. AFAIK, nectar is there to lure insects and birds so they'll pollinate, and most fruit is also there to be eaten by animals who will then drop or poop out the seeds to plant them away from the parent tree.

Yeah, but nectar and fruit are plant products, not animal products.
