The battle continues to hang in the balance as the Champions of Greyhawk press the attack..... but not to huge effect. The devastating antimagical onslaught from Darl Quethos strips away the enchantments shielding Donal, Elkist and Mirriana in a flashing aura of clashing magics and the earth beast vanishes with a dull rumble, although his ray of darkness misses Mirriana and Donal resists being exploded! The Efreeti swings at Donal with quick effective blows but most are parried, the same happening with the black clad rider and his nightmare.

Even as that happens the party respond, Lan throwing more javelins, several striking home, or at least seeming to as they vanish into the dark shrouds of his mantle, but blood trickling onto the ground shows they are making contact. Elkist however misses in a flurry of blows and Donal manages to land a single hit even as Zarina charges in beside him but the massive Efreeti parries her blow with its giant blade. The barbed rider , his horse and the Efreeti then vanish, cubes of fog engulfing them but arms, legs and horns flap in an out of visibility.

Panting Darl steps back away from Mirriana, Elkist and Donal, a hissed, "When I seize his phylactery is secrets shall be mine, and Kyuss will be a babe in my hands.." to prove a point the dark hand of Vecna crackles in with necromantic potential. Zarina can only wince with pain as she feels a blast of absoslute destruction surround her as Darl once more concentrates his implosion upon the new warrior mage crackling with powers even as his holy symbol pulses with a brief healing surge before he spreads his fingers and releases necromatic energy as dark power surges around Mirriana, Elkist, Lan, Zarina and Donal as their blood thins and begins to pour from the eyes, nose and mouth.

Move: Concentrate upon Zarina - DC 28 Fort save or Imploded!



The cornugon, trapped in the fog atop his nightmare bellows in just pure rage and lashes out with its blade at the party, blades slowed slightly by the fog before a cloud of dark oily fog coalesces around Lan

The efreeti swishes his sword around angrily, before vanishing from within the cloud and stepping out of a cloud of shadow behind Donal and Elkist and then slashing at Donal with is blade after a careful glance as he grins at the shattering of Donal's magical enhancements. The blade lashing out with immense precision.
