The impact of Lamorak's spikes into the creature's face was a messy one, for a second pink tentacles spilled out of its mouth and seemed to be dragging the Lord Protector's head inwards to be consumed. Then the pink turned to crimson as the spikes on Lamorak's helm started to shudder, punching between the edges of the chitin plates and tearing the creature apart until it slumped, a dead and meaty mass on the floor spilling vile humours from where it's head once was.
From there the lord protector managed to avoid stumbling as he was dropped and instead kicked off the mostly intact chest to send him flying at the creature attacking Sharkan, sword rending and touch sapping strength, though not swiftly enough to end the creature immediately.
