Appearance: Very strong. Chiseled Abdominals. A slight beard. Black hair put back in a spiky ponytail. Red eyes. Average sized. Not thin, not large.

Usual Clothing: Red and Silver armor covering the upper body. Puffy black silk pants.


(Back Story)

Mitsurugi was born into a middle class family. He had a loving mother (Kagome), working father (Botan), and an older brother by one year (Kyo).

Kyo was an incredibly bratty kid, and was given what he wanted, when he wanted it. He would get Mitsurugi into trouble whenever he was given the chance. This continued up until Mitsurugi was 15. Ever since Mitsurugi was 7 years old, he had been training in the way of the sword. He had made a Wooden Sword one day out of some wood his father had stacked in the basement. One day, Kyo crept up from behind Mitsurugi and attempted to kill him with a Cleaving knife, fresh with blood. Kyo had an insane look on his face. One that had told Mitsurugi all he had needed to know. Kyo had gone insane, and had killed their parents.

Kyo swung wildly at Mitsurugi, landing a hit on his right arm. With that, Mitsurugi was kneeling on the ground, with Kyo advancing on him. As Kyo began his match finishing swing, Mitsurugi brought up his Wooden Sword, knowing it has no match against an incredibly sharp machete-style knife, and attempted something that would either save him, or get him killed. He threw his sword at Kyo's face, while making a grab for the Cleaver.

The look on Kyo's face was a mix of horror, sadness, pain, and twisted happiness. Somehow, the Wooden Sword had pierced through Kyo's heart. And even more to Mitsurugi's surprise his hand hadn't actually left the sword handle. Mitsurugi had killed his brother.......with a wooden sword.

From that day on Mitsurugi had traveled the world training his Sword skills and taking up bounties to get money. Until the age of 24, that is.

At 24 years of age, Mitsurugi took up a Bounty for a world renowned Blade Master. His name was Sasuke Furihama. He had the ability to breathe fire, and usually would breathe fire onto his sword to engulf it in flames, increasing the fatality of one strike by a huge amount. he found Mitsurugi resting at a sacred temple, and decided to surprise him. With a flaming sword strike to the head.

As Sasuke advanced on Mitsurugi, he made as much noise as possible, because Sasuke liked to play with his victims before killing them. Mitsurugi waited until Sasuke had just released his flaming barrage of attacks, and jumped out of way, countering, and leaving a huge gash in Sasuke's side.

As the blood poured over the temple's floor, Sasuke dropped his blade and uttered some powerful final words: "You......you will suffer for this....my men.....will...aven-Guah!". Before Sasuke could finish his threat, he coughed up an abnormal amount of blood, dying painfully.

As Mitsurugi began on his way out of the dungeon with Sasukes 'Bounty Card', a light appeared at the far end of the temple. As Mitsurugi turned to see it, the glowing light shot into him like a knife, leaving a gash on his stomach. Luckily, it was nothing fatal. Much to his surprise, when Mitsurugi looked to where the light had landed, he saw a katana. One that was unlike any other he'd ever seen. This one had a red glow, and a grand silver shine. Mitsurugi picked the blade up, and set out to retrieve his reward.

As Mitsurugi entered the tavern, from which he received the bounty mission, he became caught in a quarrel between two men inside. One was enormous, much larger than Mitsurugi in every way. The other was a short man, with a secret to hide. Mitsurugi was in no position to fight again, considering his injury. Though it wasn't fatal, it still needed to be treated as soon as possible. As the two men stood in front of him, arguing, Mitsurugi tried to work his way to the side slightly. It failed. The large man saw him trying to get through and decided to pick a fight with Mitsurugi. As the large man brought down a huge fist, Mitsurugi just closed his eyes and waited....

What happened next was unbelievable. Mitsurugi looked up at the man, whose face told a tale. One of pain. Mitsurugi looked down, only to see his sword in hand, and it had been thrust into the man, killing him. Everyone in the tavern looked at him, amazed. Mitsurugi had a serious look on his face, as he always did. Considering this had happened before, he wasn't overly surprised. He was banished from the town, with the Town Chief handing him only a few bandage wrappings, and an Emblem. Mitsurugi asked no questions, and left town. He bandaged his stomach wound and began on his way again....

(Common Knowledge)

Mitsurugi's sword, "Shining Red", seems to have some sort of hidden power, but Mitsurugi has yet to find out exactly what it is.

Mitsurugi did not bury Kyo. His body decayed on the ground near Mitsurugi's old house. He gave his mother a proper burial, but he couldn't find any remains of his father. Could he be.........?
