The man is clearly in a hurry, he walks quickly across the room towards you, pocketing the trinket and saying "Where is he?! Is he okay?! His life is in danger, I have to warn him!" You can see the real worry on his face, whatever is going on, it's certainly very serious. Under his soaking overcoat he is dressed in a shirt and black waistcoat. His necktie is hanging loosly around his neck. His suit trousers are soaked with the rain and his old, but clearly hardwearing pair of black shoes squelch loudly.
