That reminds me. Jerris said to not fully close the lid of the trunk after we get it open, and above all -- he was very insistent on this -- above all under no circumstances should anyone touch that piece of parchment.

Berwin takes the rope in the trunk and arranges it so that a length of it hangs over the side of the trunk, thus preventing the lid from being closed fully by accident.
