Between the elements there were spaces of dark and spaces of light, and that light took form in the void beyond the world. Luumu was born, and he made his prescence known with a great orb that would circle the world. The orb would cast down light on all that it could see, roughly half of the world, at all times.

Luumu looked down on the endless seas and elements and carved out a large square of land with his furious gaze, and he called this land Iuro. It was large and flat and dry, but filled with enough to support robust life, and on it he placed all manner of animals, all with the capacity to subtley glow light, and he tought the animals to love all the light above them and hate any who would take it away.
