I shift uncomfortably at the machine's further questioning. I'm certainly not good. And I don't think redemption is really- possible considering what I have to do to stay alive. Or- unalive. And I'm certainly not a prisoner. "I'm just visiting?" maybe that will be good enough?

And I nod slowly in reply to the talking cat. "Their leader had some kind of strange commanding ability that enslaved anyone who wasn't humanoid. I was- fortunate to escape. But in the end it all came to nothing."
