Nah, the slope'll be positive, because -2, -3 is two into the II and III quadrants and three down into the third quadrant. In order to reach 0, the slope has to be positive.
Welp. That's a descent of 14 along the y axis. Slope notation means that for every two it goes over, it goes three up. (unless I've gotten that backwards). And if you've got a positive slope, that means r has to be negative...I'm also having trouble finding the value of r so that a line going through (-4, 8) and (r, -6) has a slope of 2/3rds.

So... if I misremembered it as dogmantra suggests... up 2, over 3 means that 14/2 is the basic unit, so 7 * 3 will reveal the change in X. Which means there's a difference of 21 between -4 and r.
