In terms of grammar, commas are the bane of my existence...I tend to overuse, which is sometimes worse than under. I can't shake thinking of commas as short pauses AND subject changes or additions. That's its own thing.

I do the same thing! I always think that overusing commas is better than underusing, though. At least when someone overuses commas or other punctuation, you know they're at least TRYING to use proper grammar, vs someone who has no punctuation and shortens words like "because" to "b/c".
