Kazuma is dumbfounded for a moment. Why is his Captain so angry at him? What had he done to warrant this treatment? By the time he registers what a blow this was, the Captain has already left.

All he has left is seeking out the 5th seat and asking him what to do. But it doesn't make him any happier.

Had Himura-taichou not so much as considered summoning him to do his duty? Granted, he wasn't that high up in the chain, but she was already leaving the 5th seat behind. If the threat was big enough to bring down the walls, didn't that mean she would need him?

Or was he this useless despite all the effort he'd been going through to be useful to his division?
