Once, he was defeated by Araval, proving that men can vanquish him, at least temporarily. But the Shades cannot be defeated or hurt in any way, except by the hand of Salmon, Leroy and Threeshades.

Well alright maybe thats true, but "It's different in Lord of the Rings" is not really a compelling argument.

All I wanted to say is that the Shades' are perhaps too powerful, and that saying "only two people are destined to kill them" is not a reason to make them unbeatable.

Let's consider advantages:
Salmon is much smaller than most of the other "good guys"
Salmon can fly automatically, making him more manouverable than most of the others
Salmon can poof Leroy anywhere he wants from anywhere

Threeshades has an extremely intimate knowledge of the Shades and how they tick. Lying has fought them twice before modern times, but Threeshades has lived with them in her body and her family bloodline.

Somehow those abilities must be incredibly useful in beating the Shades.

Anyway, I have another idea, Nameless can challenge the shades to a RAWK OFF, and if Nameless wins, then the Shades have to bugger off.
However, if the shades win then Calamity has to become their sex slave for all eternity.

Ah, but you have forgotten the 'off camera'. It is a camera which always misses someone whenever used. When you encounter the 'off camera' all you can do is sit down and wait for a better camera to come around. Or for the 'off camera' to miss someone else.

There are two others, The Plane of Ovu Monobi and the plane that has those guys from Arcania that I don't like.
However, The Plane of Ovu Monobi is screened and will not even exist come FI.

Avbaroy is not the Material Plane. Avbaroy is a planet very similar to Earth that resides in the Orion Arm. The "planes" are just sub-atomic portions of the universe that reside in the Galactic Core, were "souls" (sub-atomic conscious particles) go.

EDIT: And only sapient hominids have "souls". Most of them (more than (90%) go to the Abyssus (not the Abyss) and become crustacean-like creatures.

There is no material plane. The "planes" are all part of the same universe as Avbaroy (they reside in the galactic core of the Milky Way). Else, how would you explain the Alternate Universes ?

EDIT: And it would be painfully ego-centric to declare that there are alternate realities just for the conscience of the descendants of amino-acids.
