She coughs, a bit pale.

She will try to pick Mint up, and carry her to the infirmary. You don't look fine, Sweets.

[Quinsar]

A mark of justice can't do much...

"Has anyone seen Lex?" Turtle asks. It suddenly occurs to her that Lex was not at her bedside. Something is very wrong.

[The Bushranger]

Woo, chilly! Dani giggles and looks up at the stranger. I'm fine, thanks. You're new here, aren't you? She bounces up and dusts herself off, grinning. I'm Dani!

Alas, she doesn't hear Judy's hollering.

[Rebonack]

Laraek, however, does. He leans off to the side a bit to peer around Dani and down the hall. And brushes some of that quite literally frosty hair out of his one eye.

"I'm Laraek," I respond slowly. Mint. I talked to her for a little while, right? And she's hurt? Even in here? As well defended as this place is? What's going on? I thought it was supposed to be safe here? "Don't you think- that they might need help?"

I point down the hallway with once icy claw.

[Vespe Ratavo]

Vespe and Victoria appear next to Mint and Judy. Mint will be levitated out of Judy's arms and floated towards an infirmary bed. The Time Lord(s) follow. What happened?

Alek put a mark of justice on her, and told her to kill two people here. And if she didn't or she told anyone, then the MOJ would activate.

She looks to Mint. Well, she told me. She looks to Vespe. Why is he doing this? We are supposed to be happy, to be planning our wedding. She throws herself at Vespe.

[The Bushranger]

Dani blinks a little.
Who needs help?
She looks in the direction indicated and shrugs.
C'mon, you can introduce yourself to me on the way!
Grinning she starts skipping - literally - in that direction.

[Quinsar]

Mint coughs, and sighs.

[Vespe Ratavo]

Vespe hugs Judy. I don't know. He's just a sadist, I suppose. Don't worry, we're going to get rid of him.
Victoria sends out a telepathic broadcast. Would any mages or clerics please report to the infirmary immediately? Thank you.

Well.

She certainly seems happy. Almost- unnaturally so.

I follow close behind. I'm not sure what I would really be able to do. But- I want to be able to help as I can. I do like being useful for something after all.

Raven will go and provide magical healing + herbal remedies, but his player must deadtime.

Not a mage or cleric, but I'm here! What's the...problem...
Dani spots Mint upon entering the Infirmary, and rushes over.
What happened?!

It's a mark of Justice. Alek did it. Judy looks upset, again. She is starting to lose any semblance of good she had been developing. The urge to kill is rising in her.

DarkComet, Nomlas, and that dang cat, Reinholdt. They are all in on it with him, she knows it. DarkComet and Reinholdt came here expressly to annoy her. To get under her skin. And then tessa, who she thought was a friend, lured her back to the Taverna so that Nomlas could taunt her.

Wait!! Does that mean that Vespe and Victoria were in on it too? Get away from her!! All of you! Why are you doing this to us? Why are you attacking us? I thought you were my friends!!

((In case you don't realize it, Judy's just snapped.))

They're... Friends...
They help...

No, Mint. They're the enemy. They are trying to kill you, and in turn, turn me back into a murdering monster. Well, they won't get away with it. They want a monster, they have one. She draws her daggers and attempts to slash Vespe.

[Chas the mage]

Callixtus (the cyborg) enters the great room.

[Quinsar]

JUDY! STOP!
Or I'll stop you...

[Vespe Ratavo]

Victoria was about to hand Mint a medpack, but...Judy. Calm down. We're friends.
Judy! We're not doing anything! We're trying to help! Vespe dodges the slash. Victoria tries to telekinetically force the dagger out of Judy's hand.

[The Bushranger]

Dani is probably taking her life in her hands - but she steps forwards to hug Judy tightly nontheless.

((Probably deadtime, alas , so if Dani gets stabbed, feel free to run with it. ))

[Lex-Kat]

Judy starts to stab down into Dani as Dani hugs her, but she can't. She stops her blades, just after piercing Dani's skin. She breaks down and hugs Dani tightly, dropping her weapons. She begins to cry. And will soon pass out.

((So that her palyer can go home from work. DEADTIME ))

Mint passes out, smiling at Judy.
Deadtime.

I just-

I just stand there by the door and-

And blink.

This is all- I don't know what's going on.

Why they're screaming. Why they're attacking one another. None of it makes any sense. I don't know what's going on. I'm an outsider.

My gaze flits nervously toward the exit. Should I just run? What am I doing here? What am I hoping to accomplish? No! I have to- to do something. If I can. I take a few tentative steps forward. "I- I might be able to dispel a mark of justice. If I can remember how."

Unconscious Judy is levitated into a bed, and a band-aid applies itself to Dani's very small cut. Do it. Please.

the cyborg puts on his armored helmet.

I nod.

Nod and- try to remember how this works.

I've used this ability once or twice before. But it was always on accident.

I know how to trigger the death magic. And the ice vines. And how to fiddle with the weather. But this isn't one I've had much practice with.

I step over to the unconscious rabbit-eared woman and hold my hand above her head, claws splayed wide. And then I focus. Close my eye and focus. Focus through the empty socket. Focus until I can see the arcane tapestry of magical strands tied to her.

Focus as my own power builds between my fingers.

Focus as it winds down into the magical weave.

Focus as the snapping tendrils of divine trace latch onto the mark of justice and jerk in every direction at once. Pull and rend and ravage to tear it asunder.

Will Laraek's attempt work? The Narrator certainly doesn't know! The people who can all answer that apparently aren't here at the moment.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt, having accidentally been separated from Laraek and unable to find him, heads to the library to peruse their sections on artifacts and cursed magical objects.
