GLoG 18: It's A Brand New Day

Nice to meet you Miss Melody. Thankyou Wenomir, but it might be for the best if I just call my dad first.
Johnny pulls out a mobile phone and dials a number.
Dad?
There have been strange magical anomalies happening around me lately, do you know why this is?
Uh huh, uh huh, okay, I see, thanks for being honest dad, bye.
Dad has no idea.

"Johnny, there's a library. You might try doing research there," Turtle says. She looks at Wenomir. "We could start at the Taverna. We know he's been there before."


Argh! And Turtle tells, for the fourth time today, the sad sad story of Reinholdt the apocalypse kitteh.

((Can we just assume that any other characters who want to know heard one of the earlier tellings?))

Johnny makes his way to the library.

[Morty]

Wenomir nods but alas, his players needs to deadtime or else he'll fall asleep on his laptop's keyboard. G'night.

[Darkcomet]

DC nods. Sounds like a decent place to look.

[Lex-Kat]

I'll come with you, Momma.

"Let's go then," Turtle says, and gets up to leave.

Observers may notice that she's in no shape at all to be chasing after bad guys, as she's barely able to keep her feet. She's headed for the door anyway though.

[Darkcomet]

DC floats after her. Wait. I don't think you should be going after Calublufiok right now.

[Lex-Kat]

Melody takes Turtle's hand. Pease Momma. Let DarkComet and I handle this. You need your rest. She tries to guide Turtle back to her seat.

"We have to act soon. Before he has a chance to make a new phylactery."

[Darkcomet]

DC shakes his head. There's no guarantee he'll even be there, and you'll have wasted what strength you have left.

Turtle slams her fist down on the table. "Damn it!" Then she rests her head on her hands. "Damn it. You're right."

[Lex-Kat]

Melody caresses Turtle's head. It'll be alright, Momma. We'll get him.

DC really doesn't know what else to say. So he just nods.

Rabbit poofed into GLoG, glancing about nervously. The last time she had been present, she had been sucked into some huge mishap with the past and nearly killed, instead living to see an old friend die.
Hopefully, nothing quite so horrible would happen this time.

If she's in the greatroom, she'll see Turtle, Melody, and Darkcomet.

Turtle's right arm has been amputated.

"I know," Turtle says.

Rabbit did spot the group, and her jaw dropped open.
"Sis?" She shuffled over the floor, attempting to get as close to her sister as possible.
"Turtle, my gods, Turtle, what happened to you?"

[Lex-Kat]

Lex floats in. She sees Rabbit. Squeeeeeeeee!!! She *Glomps* Rabbit. Mistress!!!

"Kaela did something to me, mutated cells. Basically induced cancer," Turtle says. "It doesn't matter. I can grow it back eventually, once the risk of shifter sickness is gone."

[RabbitHoleLost]

Rabbit hugged the pixie close to her, still regarding her sister closely.
"So, Kaela came back after...that, too, then?" There's a tinge of terror to her voice, her hazel eyes flicking about the room cautiously.

"No. I mean yes, he came back, but he made me sick in the past, when he was fighting with Morgause. Before he destroyed everything."

[Darkcomet]

DC remains silent, since he doesn't exactly have anything to add to this conversation.

Rabbit slumped to her knees infront of Turtle, frowning.
"So, you will be alright, then, soon?" She was obviously hopeful, and so had thrust her suspicions of Kaela far from her mind.

"I'll be fine sis," Turtle says with a smile. "I promise."

[RabbitHoleLost]

Rabbit smiled, sitting down on her knees finally.
"Is everyone else alright? The devil swan lady, her catboy? Reinholdt? I haven't really seen him since I let him go..."

[Lex-Kat]

Come on, DarkComet. Let's go to the Taverna. Maybe we'll find this Lich. Melody tries to take DC's arm in hand.

[Reinholdt]

It should be noted that DarkComet and by extension Turtle did see what happened when Rabbit handed Reinholdt over to Calublufiok in the Tavern and the amnesia prior.

Lousy psychics getting in your head.

Clarification: Saw that Reinholdt had amnesia, trusted Rabbit and was handed over to Cal, breaking the trust. Details aren't there.

"Not Reinholdt," Turtle says, biting her lip. "He committed suicide." Then she looks up and glares at her sister. "You. You turned him over to that horrible lich."

[RabbitHoleLost]

"He...what? Why the hell would he do that?" Rabbit glowered at her sister.
"What the hell would you do that he would want to commit suicide? And, hell yeah, I gave him back to the lich! He would have gone back to him anyways, once he regained his memories!"

"He came here wanting to die. Before we did anything. He wanted to die because he trusted you and you betrayed him. He begged Darkcomet to kill him."
