A Brand New Day [Town Plot]

Chris walks out of the DFI, singing lightly. He presses a button on a remote, and a hover bike speeds over.
Hop on, Bubble.

Right. he nods with a determined smile. How long until we get to wherever we're going, Dad? he looks anxiously at Chris, if it's somewhat close... I still dont have a main weapon myself. Havnt built myself a super sword yet...

I thought I gave one to you...
He shrugs and pulls one out, giving it to him.
I can never have too many. Anyway, we're riding to Marvellia, land of great heroes. we might have to wear spandex, so say goodbye to your nuts while you have 'em.

(he didnt know if it was his or not, so he set it back with the rest of the weapons)

He takes the sword greatfully and slides it where his old sword was. Down his spinal colomn. A little bit of multicolored steam escapes. Nuts....? he pauses, then it dawns on him, Oh! Oh no, dont worry! I'm not equipt with those! Er, no problems!

[Durp]

Chris brakes on the Hoverbike, stopping abruptly. The scratching record sound is heard.
You don't have ... Equipment?
He laughs.
Whew! Poor kid...
He starts driving again, occasionally chuckling.
Anyway, Bubble, I actually wanted to talk to you about something...

(thing is, I refresh, and it says no posts. it just ends with mine. Then several minutes later, I refresh again, still says just mine. Ten minutes can pass, and it'll say no new posts, when like, five have been made)

Bubble looks up at Chris, face passivly surprised
Dad... if you dont make it, then it means I havnt....
We're together here, live or die. Either way, your family, your mom, they will be avenged.
Bubble looks determindly up at Chris, If taking the goggles means that you're simply resigned to die, then I wont take em. But if its deeper than that, and if you know in your heart we'll suceed, and this is some other tradtion, then yes, I will take the honor...

Bubble smiles warmly, That doesnt answer my questions at all. he laughs lightly. he takes them in his hands. His other goggles mesh with his hair until they vanish all together. He slips the other pair on, then looks back up at Chris.
I wont have you dying on me, dad, just know that.

It's not supposed to, Bubble.
He then nods, and pulls out a pair of red goggles. Think Kamina.
Dad didn't lok good enough in these.

Bubble laughs cheerfully, What you, or your dad?! That's not his pair, is it? He laughs again, What do I care?! I'll keep my own goggles safe! Thank you! Just... just thank you! he smiles warmly and looks down, sincerly appreciating everything Chris has done for him.

It used to be his pair, but the difference between him and me is...
He puts them on.
I make these look good.
He then smiles fatherly, and hugs Bubble. Then, realizing that the Hoverbike doesn't have auto pilot, resists screaming and grabs the controls, parking in a large city.

He laughs, then becomes frighened as well when the bike careens out of control. Of course, it all wound up okay in the end, so we all laugh it off.
Would that be all kinds, or just the ones we're after? Bubble asks, still giggling.
Chris might notice along with the addition of the blast goggles, Bubble's hair has become blonder as well.

Well, all the heroes must be here for some reason. Though you think the villains would have half a mind to hightail it to a different city, eh? Bubble jokes.

He starts walking into the city.

Bubble follows, calming down. They're in the midst of, well, enemy territory now, he should be on alert. But on the outside, he's still smiling, however passivly.

Well, first we have to find-
He is interrupted by a mugger grabbing him by the throat and pulling him into an alley.
MMPH!

Swiftly as possible and face solid, Bubble darts forward to try and get at a better angle to throw out his right hand and fire off his hand's blast of a death ray.

The mugger is hit, incinerating, and Chris swears.
Damn this city and it's surprisingly high crime rate.
Several heroes suddenly swoop down into the alley.
Never fear, citizens! A hero-
The talking one stops abruptly as he sees Chris' face.
HOLY S*** It's him! Run!
They scamper off, running out of the alley and into the street, only to be hit by a large truck. Chris smirks.
Isn't that sweet, Lightning lad remembered.
He nods to Bubble.
Anyway, we need to find a friend of mine, he'll get us access to the sledgequarters.

Well, then good thing he was swiftly... um, delt with. Luck's on our side. Bubble nods, edging closer to Chris, as if to protect him from anything else that may attack. Let's get there quick, before too many people recognize you... His eyes dart up to Chris. He frowns for a split second.

Chris nods. His clothes then turn into normal street clothes, his goggles dark sunglasses.
This'll help.
He walks up to an abandoned warehouse (there are a hell of a lot of these) and says into the intercom:
Yaga, open up, it's Sajjid!
The door creaks open. He starts to walk.

They walk up to a man sitting at a large network of computers, several of them literally plugged into him.
Yaga, We need to get into sledge HQ.

He looks at Bubble.

He pauses, as if uncertain what to call Chris in here... ... He already told you, I'm his son. Bubble states firmly, Though if you want a name, it's Thomas Bubble. Do you need more?

Yaga raises an eyebrow.
You seem awfully tense, Rahaad.
This would appear to be Bubble's new name.
Does he not know who I am?
Chris sighs.
Bubble, this is an old college professor of mine. He was the only one who escaped.
