[Asharta can stay where she is if you prefer: my plan B was to use Blades of Astral Fire, exactly the same attack and damage as the lightning but allies get +3 AC instead of 10 damage
forgot: and it's radiant damage]Last edited by maniki; 2009-06-08 at 12:27 PM.

Re: [4e] Fighting Fantasy Fun [IC]
Vopiscus points to Asharta as the nymph runs dances over to Belthen. The remaining free spirit flashes across the cavern and absorbs into Asharta's body in a flash of light even as the nymph reaches her objective and ignores the ogre to grab Belthen and plant a kiss on his cheek.
SpoilerHealing Spirit. Asharta can spend a healing surge. If she does, Belthen also recovers (1d6)[4] hit points.

Re: [4e] Fighting Fantasy Fun [IC]
Dusting the last of the spirit resin off his gloves (holding them far away from his body as he does so), Vopiscus dodges the nymph as she comes running over and tries to lean on his shoulder. Well, that wasn't so bad. He looks at the cage. Now what are we going to do about that one?

Re: [4e] Fighting Fantasy Fun [IC]
Belthen wipes his blade clean of ogre blood, chuckling at the nymph's antics. Clean blade in hand the deva looks about area to make sure there are no further worries before crouching in front of the cage.

Re: [4e] Fighting Fantasy Fun [IC]
Peering critically around the room, Asharta nudged the bars of the goblin's cage with the flat of her bloodied blade. "That sounds more then reasonable. Doesn't it?" she suggested, eyeing the runty figure.

The goblin hisses at you and utters something unintelligible (even for goblin) and begins to totally stress out.

Re: [4e] Fighting Fantasy Fun [IC]
The goblin eyes the bread warily, then quickly snatches it from your hand. It gobbles down the bread, then makes a distinctively language like remark, but none of you understand it.

Re: [4e] Fighting Fantasy Fun [IC]
“I know a simple enchantment which might help” Attah sits down in front of the cage, drawing a stoppered flask of sand from his backpack. He starts to trace a diagram on the ground before him, whispering mangled echoes of the goblin’s words as he does so.
Completing the rite, he looks up at the goblin, pointing towards the rod and then miming opening the cage.
Spoiler
Ritual: Comprehend language. Attah’s arcana skill is not high enough for speaking it fluently to even be possible (DC 35), so I don’t think there is any roll? Unless higher rolls will let me speak a few words?

Re: [4e] Fighting Fantasy Fun [IC]
Turning away, Asharta spent a moment in cleaning her blade and sheathing it before returning to the group. She crouches down by Attah's side, curiously watching the ritual take place.
