So we're all apparently part of an Adventurer's Guild? It would have been great to know this from the start, so we could have actual IC motivations for being in this guild.

Yeah, this sounds about right for motivation. Vornakartos is good for more or less any bunk.

Well, I didn't give much info so yeah.

Directly opposite your room is another dorm, there are 8 dorms on your floor, and a pantry about halfway. The staircase down is on the East Side. Down on the 1st floor there is a hallway all the way back down to the West Side, where you are now. On that floor there are 8 rooms as well.

On Morrowind: So... Many ... Memories... of ... Dead... Mages...

Then again the fact that my mage joined the Fighters Guild was silly enough.

I don't think (Carna)Vornakartos needs rats made into soup before eating, but they're tasty either way. As a potential mission, we need to ask one important question: would we be getting the rats out of the soup, or putting them in?

I was actually something between prestidigitation-based vandalism of the posting (and therefore temporary) and setting whoever posted such a ridiculous mission on fire. And then setting the soup on fire. I will find a way.

Was my thoughts exactly. First real "quest" away from the starting town (and the first guild mission you're likely to take [successfully]) was clearing out rats from someone's house.

One of these days I'll play that game and actually progress in the storyline. I could never get very far without just saying "screw it" and modding the world to give me cash and goodies. It was still fun to explore, though.

I might have more significant posts later in the night, but it's been... a long day, to say the least. Too distracted to post "Golem looks at the message board, thinks rats taste good" just now.

At this point you guys can do what you like, I have several paths planned out, for whether you take any missions, or just go walking about in the city ( with or without patrol mission)

Also, I really hated the Thieves Guild for one reason:

"Steal this thing from the Mage's guild for us."

Me: "Okay, is it dangerous?"

"Nah, just sneak around a bit"

Me: Goes to Mage's Guild and ducks and enters. Forgets entering = standing up.

Cue: Over 9000 Fireballs, Lightning Bolts and Broken Staffs

Also, when I stole the staff, I came when the Archmage was asleep. Only one guy on guard duty. You have to appreciate Eye of Fear in those situations.

Good news is I think im started to get used to this type of game play. Hooray.

Arresting crooks = bashing them into as fine as a pulp as possible while still leaving them as intact as local bounty laws require. So yeah, an evil golem kinda likes that one.

That said, it *is* a golem and is likely to take whatever option has the best balance of reward versus possible success. Adversary is just about as likely to arrest crooks as he is to do the escort service, assuming that the client doesn't mind the pace of a never-tiring march.

As an asside: What magic can make a golem have an illusionary dream? I'm sure it would fall within the grounds of a fair deal of illusions, but nothing's really going to make a golem dream shy of physically porting the thing into a sub-plane, I would think. Just musing here.

Actually, a Dream spell modified with Chain Spell metamagic and bolstered by a Plot Device would do the trick. We're dealing with a really powerful wizard, though. Plot Devices are minor artifacts, you see.

Good, ive been brainstorming ideas for the campaign all day. Not to give too much away, but in later levels you MAY have the chance to form your own guild. (Note this will probably be the only time I will allow you to take Leadership.)

I also think rats are going to be a recurring joke with this game.
