Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
So I have a doctors appointment in like an hour and a half :p. So I'll be late to the session, I did mean to post earlier.

I'm going to be here for the front-end of the session. IE, about an hour to two hours.

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Actually, some of the keys o my keyoard are't workig. Let me see if repairig is a optio, cause I hate uyig replacemets.
ut I guess I could play some games without those keys.
This is ufortuately like experieceig the voice crackig of puerty o the olie world.
Later edit: It still lights up, so I didn't break it too badly. Whoa, I can type "b" again. And "n"! And it even sounds cleaner as I type, like the little rubber contacts hit more solidly. Maybe that's actually a sign of degradation.
I'm sure something will go wrong.
Tried not to strip any screws, still left some to put in actually, that part sure won't cooperate if I ever do this again.
Last Edit: Well, my backspace feels a little slower, but other than that, I'd pronounce it fixed.Last edited by nooblade; 2010-03-26 at 04:05 PM.

As Winter's not around, here's a reminder: The melee session is tommorow, hope to see you all there, etc.

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Before warcraft was a world it was a battle field
I could use a good match up against some one I don't know in real life or a level 20 that's an absolute noob at his race.
I'm thinking about having a tourney on my clan (will give us a reason to use the forum we made and have stopped using.. Just kinda died out..)
So who wants to join a tourney or do a 1 on 1 with me at some point in time?

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
Well, we have a fair number of 1v1s on Sundays (which is when the group congregates for melee, though we also do a lot of team games) and there are occasionally GitPers who come on to melee during the week, so your chances of finding someone to play with are decent. Your best bet is to come on a Sunday, though.
I, personally, don't really like tournaments but a couple of other people here are more into that sort of thing, as I recall.
And on a related note, tomorrow is Friday and thus the custom map session; hope to see everyone there.

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
USEast, channel 'op gitp' every Friday at 4PM EST. Feel free to come early or late, it doesn't particularly matter.
As for hero wars, we generally pick maps by people proposing ideas and then attempting to come to a consensus on what to play next from those. I'm not familiar with the map you're talking about but feel free to suggest it.

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
It's like Dota except more simple and actually fun
Host picks game rules, you pick hero (real men play random all,) you buy troop upgrades, stat tomes, items, kill enemies forces and heroes, hire mercenary's and additional troops, build towers and so on.
It is allot of fun it's very chaotic. You can buy/hire everything in your teams base/spawn except items (but you can buy tomes and real basic items there.)

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
@Vulkan: For clarification, we have two groups - one for custom maps and one for melee. Both meet at 4 PM EST on USEast (Azeroth) in the 'op gitp' channel, only the former meets on Fridays, the latter on Sundays. Though some members of the group can be found online throughout the week, too.
You can find all the relevant information in the first post of this thread, too.
And the map you describe sounds like one most of our members would approve of.
This said, welcome to the group!
@Bane and Slaan: Thanks for posting the reminders in my place.
Next Wednesday. Funnily, I happen to just have logged on using my cousin's computer specifically to post that (and check what's going on here).LGBTitP Supporter

Vulkan: I realized, but I figured if you actually wanted to play, identifieing yourself will help.
I'll be hanging around channel Op GitP if you feel like playing a round of something.
Awesome!

You now I don't often play against undead.. Basically every time I do I end up rushing them with a quick tier 2 raider assault lead by a lv2-3 Tauran Chieftan with an anger problem (and mana potion.)

Re: GitP WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne group (thread II)
I'm not sure if it's not too late for you by now, but... It says that they will be giving out eight keys to the closed SC2 beta to the winners of a contest; further details to the contest will be available starting on March the 29th, but only to registered users under the link they give below; in the first week, the challenge will be "design a unique unit for SC2".
Well, as I said before, it's customs on Fridays and normal on Sundays. Usually not both on the same day.
On weekdays there are no rules, obviously.
Hmm... under 'cheese', I usually understand something somewhat different than 'perfectly valid strategy to which three out of four Orc players default'.LGBTitP Supporter

Oh right, I had forgotten that Easter was on a Sunday. Happy Easter, then!
I'll likely be tied up with familial commitments for most of the day when the session rolls around so I doubt I'll be able to make it, sadly.Last edited by The Orange Zergling; 2010-04-04 at 12:42 PM.
