Bryan and Pavis

Pavis squeezes the pyramid with all his might. As he does, Bryan and Pavis hear a squeal of pain from the pyramid. Pavis continues to squeeze, putting all his effort into it. Remembering the time all the other boys used to tease him when he was a child because he always lost Hug-the-Buffalo-to-Death he squeezes harder. The pyramid continues to fight against Pavis's grip. Digging deeper, Pavis recalls the time his father left him because his hugs weren't firm enough. Despite his efforts the pyramid still wiggles around. Finally, summoning all his might, Pavis recalls the time that he died because he couldn't hug a pyramid to death. Pavis crushes the monster with a sickening crack. As he does, the other half splits off. Oddly enough the other pyramid doesn't seem to be alive except for what appear to be Lewyd's flailing legs.

Lewyd senses someone has come to save him...at least from what's trying to eat him. His new found prison within a prison will probably have to come later. To aid the efforts of his allies, whoever they might be Lewyd begins to flail and kick more. Hopefully he can kick something vital or break the monster's jaw. The battle lasts about a minute, but Lewyd feels himself being expelled out of the monster's mouth. Filled with the sense of victory, Lewyd flails his legs in celebration, mostly because he really can't do anything else.

*whimper* Bryan faints.

Pavis rushes over to Lewyd's legs and pulls with all his might.
We'll give you a proper burial yet my friend!

A rolling wave of thunder booms in the distance. Everything seems different, yet everything seems the same.

Bryan wakes and walks over to Lewyd, I am so sorry, I will fix this, no matter how much it might cost me. Bryan tugs at an invisible arcane tapestry, attempting to weave in a new pattern greater than any you have witnessed him perfom before. In a blinding flash of light, Lewyd is returned to his normal form and Bryan disappears completely.

You hear a weak moaning sound coming from the room above. A city guardsman flops halfway through the hole in the ceiling, getting caught by the edge on the way down. It is not immediately apparent if he is dead or merely unconcious.

Pavis edges close to the mewing form and pokes it with the butt of his lance.
Bryyyyaaaaan?
