And suggests that they forgot it was ever brought up...

Still trying the calming thing.




Completely oblivious Dani is still asleep in Sam's arms in Sam's room.

Actually, people were pretty well spread out. Near as Rebo can tell some of the wolves are in the kitchen while the others are in the infirmary. It's hard to tell sometimes. [Location] tags can be useful when such large threads with some many different parts are being used.

Anywho... Zee's in the kitchen with a sleeping wolf and rapidly cooling brownies.

She looks up at the confections.

Then down at the wolf.

Then wrinkles her nose.

And rubs the big critter behind the ear.

"Now what are we going to do with them?"

And then the Mist of Nomming hits her.

Unlike the wolf she doesn't instantly heal damage from non-silver sources.

*SPLLIRTCH!*

Zee gets rent apart rather messily.

Eeww...

Think this is the second time Xavier has killed her.

[Reinholdt]

Sowwy DC. Maybe doors closed between the two?

Reinholdt notes Zee's messy death. And avoids the mist.

He sighs. The Werewolves should probably be the ones stopped. He shifts into catboy form and calmly walks into the infirmary to the medicine cabinets and starts digging through them.

Sam is awake in bed, holding on to Dani while she reviews some sort of files.


Tobias is completely oblivious to the angry fight right around him.

[Rebonack]

The remains of Zee, which happen to be spread out all over the rug, will prove to be quite the chore to clean out.

At least it would have been an unpleasant task if not for the fact that the icky stuff just spontaneously immolated. Now the bits are enveloped with living, writhing, opalescent white flames wreathed in ebony mist.

Susan was in the infirmary... I though Zee was bringing brownies in there for some reason. Anyway.

Yeah, they've stopped listening to the calming presence. Mage lunges at Quinn from behind while Vlad attacks from the front, Susan circles around.

...wait, is the fight in the Kitchen or the Infirmary?

Anyway, Quinn hurriedly manifests her Psionic Overland Flight and tries to fly out of range up by the ceiling...


Dani shifts a little in Sam's arms, murmuring something happy-sounding in her sleep.

I have absolutely no idea. I always thought it was in the infirmary.

Vlad and mage hit each other in midair as their targeet disappears. Then Susan leaps at Quinn while she's flying upwards.

[Reinholdt]

I was in the kitchen. But it was in the infirmary. So I plane shifted and destroyed continuity! Shush. Does too make sense.

Well we're in the infirmary now either way.

Reinholdt is a bit sad at Zee's death seeing as how they were supposed to go treasure hunting together. But she'll be back. So not too badly.

Reinholdt finds what he was looking for and grabs three syringes with large needles and starts filling them quickly.

Sam smiles and bends down to kiss the top of Dani's head before going back to her review and deadtiming.

It looks like the exact location of the fight has become more or less immaterial due to confusion on the part of... pretty much everyone.

Oh well! No harm done!

...

Well... Plenty of harm to Zee.

But don't worry.

She'll get better.

The flames gradually coalesce into a trio of blazing orbs. For a moment they slowly orbit around one another before streaking off at incredible speed. Two go careening right through the walls and to parts unknown.

The last one might end up crashing right into Quinn...

The brownies, meanwhile, continue to smell delicious.

Susan might get a bite of Quinn's boot, just as the Zee-bit hits Quinn...

...and Quinn suddenly files straight up, sticking to the ceiling and convulsing...




Dani snuggles Sam a little closer and drifts completely back off to sleep.

Susan bites Quinn's boot, and is slammed into the ceiling by this sudden rocket upwards, before her grip slips and she hits the ground. Hard. Then maybe a boot hits her on the head.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt finally gets them all ready. He holds two in his left hand off to the side and one at the ready in his right. Trying in particular to sneak up a little and pounce on whichever one isn't looking his way and inject the werewolf with the substance.

Which happens to be as much as possible of the strongest sedative he could find in the medicine cabinets.

Susan's just fallen on top of both Vlad and the mage. They're all trying to get untangled from each other. Should be pretty easy to inject them.

Have to look for flying foot-ware.

As soon as the bolt of white-fire hits Quinn her mind will be flooded with something horrifyingly familiar. Change. Change without limit. Without bounds. Beyond possible. And with it an intoxicating love. Not a physical love, no. Nothing so simple. A love that knows nothing of merit. Nothing of self. Love freely given. A love that endures.

A love that isn't Zee's at all, no. She's nothing more than a conduit for it.

Alien understanding. Visions of a realm where all impossible things dwell. ...and for some reason a bit about a monkey with cymbals and a fez.

Don't know what that's about.

It might all be enough to temporarily overwhelm the mind.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt injects all three then as quickly as possible.

Sleeeeeeep.

No...not again!
Quinn's mind fights against the intruding presence for just a moment before it overwhelms her.
The sensation of peace and love plays a large part in this...
...self-preservation does, too, as her own mind essentially shuts down.

Oh, and her eyes turn red, too.

And she plummets back to the floor...



And Quinn is now Rebo's to play with for the rest of the night, as for the second time in her life she gets Far-tainted.
Or at least Far-controlled.

BR-the-player, aka "Finn", reminds Rebo to leave his character in at least some semblence of one piece, before BR-the-player heads to bed.

Lex flies into GLoG and looks for anyone who can help her.

Sleepy werewolves. Might want to do something about them before they wake up though.

[Reinholdt]

Yeah. Indeed.
Reinholdt will start trying to move the werewolves to the detention cells. The ones with infirmary beds. And set them up on IVs that will keep feeding them sedatives like what he just gave them. So sleepy until werewolf status goes away.

Hopefully.

This of course presuming that Quinn the far-tainted doesn't go nuts on Reinholdt.

But Lex and Rein will probably spot each other in the midst of this. "Hey Lex. Whatcha up to?"

Hey, it was totally Quinn's fault last time. And this time her player asked for it. Poor Quinn. She needs someone to be nicer to her.

*Thud!*

Because the floor certainly isn't being nice to her at the moment. Stupid thing leaping up and slamming into her! The nerve!

Meanwhile, inside Quinn's head...

Quinn? Can you hear me? Oh this is great. Just grand. Her conscious mind just shut itself down. I can't jump out of her now! She might not wake up if I don't help her. And I can't stay here either! The longer I'm bonded the more I'll change her.

See, Quinn has just had a close encounter with Allaso, the aspect of Change. And already twisting, mutating, flowing sigils as deep as a starless night begin swirling about the downed psi-paladin.

Though she doesn't stay downed for long.

Slowly, so slowly, she rises. Like a marionette on strings. Sigils gripping her limbs, holding her aloft. Her head is lulled forward. Arms and legs limp.

Okay... I don't want to move her by acting through her brain... That will expose her to me too much. I just need to make sure no one knows that anything is wrong with her.

"Hello, I'm Quinn! I'm just fine despite my concussion and I'm certainly not infested by anything from the Far Realms," comes a voice with too much reverb from Quinn's general vicinity. "Don't worry about me, I'm sure I won't mutate into something horrible."

Woot! Reinholdt leveled up!

He returns to infirmary to clean up, where I suppose he meets Lex (perhaps?). And sees Quinn getting up and acting funny. ".... Zee? What are you doing in there?" Zee was absolutely the only one who talked like that.

[Rebonack]

Uh oh. Busted.

'Quinn' looks toward the Kitteh. Which consists of her sort of flopping her upper body toward him, causing her head to be propped up on her shoulder.

"Zee? Ah ha ha ha. I'm not Zee, that's silly. I'm Quinn and I'm not acting unusual at all," comes the rather spooky voice echoing from beyond space and time in her general vicinity. Something about that sound grates against the mind...

Technically she's not Zee. The three aspects are all completely unique and independent beings, just as Zee is unique and independent from the rest of Ragnnora. But she's still part of Zee.

Huh. Every character of mine's asleep. *twiddles thumbs*

Wait! Greg's wandering around.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt has no idea about any of that stuff now does he?
*double checks*
No. No he doesn't.

Reinholdt shudders at the creepy voice. "Right. Well you sure as heck aren't Quinn. And Quinn seemed to get hit by some Zee guts. So... I'm still going to guess that Zee possessed Quinn and is very bad at it."

[Rebonack]

There happen to be lots of things that Zee is really bad at. Apparently possessing people is one of them.

"Okay, okay. Fine. You got me. I'm not really Zee, though. I'm Allaso, her aspect of Change. We fracture when someone kills us. Quinn's mind shut down when I crashed into her and if I bail now it might kill her. Or put her in a coma. I need to keep her alive and mostly not-mutated until she wakes up," the spooky voice explains.

Speaking of mutating, Quinn's right leg is starting to look a little... off. Seems Allaso has just noticed as well.

"Gah!"

Those inky sigils swarm around the limb, probing and pushing and prodding.

"I can keep her mostly intact, I'm sure of it!"

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt facepalms. Great, just great. "Mostly intact isn't really good enough. We want her all intact. Is there anything else that can be done? Anything I can do? Something to extract you safely or at least keep mutations from happening?"

[ThePhantom]

"So glad that the deadtime thing makes you untouchable, because it looks like once again, there was a fight."
Marley starts working on taking down the banner he put up.
"Now I remember why I left this place, almost no time that this place isn't under attack."
