[ACRO] GLoG 27: Pay No Attention to the Thread Behind the Curtain!

Alexis doesn't chase after her, just hangs her head and sighs.

Corentin tried to hold Tia for Vidalia.

Tia struggles against Corentin a little more than she did with Vidalia. She continues chewing at the bandages and gets a few of them off herself.

((Apologies to those earlier in the Rose Garden, I had to scoot.))

Quinn, having introduced herself to Falgorn, emerges from the Rose Garden and heads for the kitchen.


Dani pops back into the base through the HALO portal.
Continuity complains but is cudgled into compliance.

Dani might see Alexis in the great room looking depressed with her head in her hands.

Corentin tried to fix Tia's bandages as the fox struggled against him. "She is not very fond of me, it seems."

Dani does, in fact, see this, and hesitates before stepping over.
Hi, um...Alexis, right? She stumbles just a little on the name. What happened?

Leaving Corentin and Alexis behind so rudely just makes Crimson feel even worse, but she wanted to be alone for the moment; without bother and company to distract her. Just... her and her thoughts, and her urges- the urges that were driving her to wander rather than stay curled up in her bed with the door locked. Eventually, her path leads her to the kitchen, and there is a pause as she stands in the doorway, putting one hand on the frame and looks inside. Should she...? The little girl quietly steps inside, crossing through the doorway.

Crimson's walks in a circuit about the room, her pale fingers run along the counters, and her eyes flicking over the cabinets. There's uncertainty in those ivory lenses of hers, but eventually she begins looking through the drawers, searching them and shutting them until she finds something close to she wants- a paring knife, dulled from years of peeling and cutting, made of simple steel and wood. She eyes the blade, hesitating as she looks over it- she knew this was a bad idea, that she shouldn't do it- but... some part of her had already decided.

Her whole body tense, Crimson lowers the knife to her arm...

She looks up and smiles a bit at Dani. Yeah, it's Alexis. And I just keep scaring off this girl and I feel horrible about it.

Aaaand about that point Quinn rounds the corner into the kitchen...
Crimson? Why are you-what are you doing?!



Dani drops onto the couch next to Alexis.
Fighting off a sense of deja vu.
Aw...who is it and how do you keep scaring her off?

It's Crimson. And I just try to help in all the wrong ways I guess. She shrugs. She ran out of here a few minutes ago.

Crimson starts and cowers backwards, the bleeding cuts in her arm along with the bloody knife in her hand making it quite obvious what she was doing. She doesn't even bother to answer Quinn, her eyes skittering downwards in response to the question.

(Last night)

Vidalia reaches to take Tia back from Corentin. Maybe she don't like boys. She grins. Could you finish with the water please? I'll unwrap her bandages.

Once Vidalia gets Tia, she wil attempt to unwrap her.

(Last night)

Corentin passed off the fidgety fox and finished drawing the water for Vidalia.

Quinn, her eyes a mix of fury, shock, and sadness, will step over remarkably quickly...
Scratch that. That's not fast enough.
She does, in fact, Dimension Door next to Crimson so she can try and snatch the knife away.

Before dropping to her knees and pulling the younger girl into a very tight hug.




Dani thinks for a moment, then goes to hug Alexis.
Crimson? Aww...well she is a little...skittish? She tries to smile reassuringly, even while hugging. She's really nice, though!

She wasn't expecting the hug but quickly returns it. I'm sure she is. I just kinda fail at helping her I guess.

It takes a bit of a wrench, but Quinn will manage to take the knife from Crimson's hand and hug her. Crimson just shakes in Quinn's arms, looking like she just couldn't cry anymore, even though she wanted to.

It's a very friendly hug Dani's giving...
Don't worry. You'll do better!



For a long moment Quinn just holds Crimson close, letting her not-cry. Scarlet...sweetie...what's wrong? Why were you doing this?

Alexis doesn't quite catch Dani's intention of the hug but does get a bit uncomfortable when it lasts a little long. Thanks. She gets along with you, right?

Crimson doesn't answer Quinn, but just looks to one side as she continues to shake. The horrible shame she feels is evident in her eyes, but there is no apology there.

And Dani finally lets go, flopping back into the corner of the couch, pulling up a leg and wrapping her arms around the knee. Yeah! She and I are pretty good friends and I need to ask if she's gotten anywhere with Irene yet. She giggles.



Quinn turns to sit down and tries to pulls Crimson into her lap, keeping her arms around her and starting to softly hum a soothing tune.

"I'm going to do it again."
Says Crimson quietly.

She raises an eyebrow. Got anywhere? She asks, clearly not understanding her meaning.

Tia calms down as Vidalia takes her back, though she does seem a bit nervous still. Maybe she doesn't know how to swim. =/

(Last Night)

After the bath is drawn, and Vidalia has removed the banadages, Vidalia tests the water. Perfect. She attempts to kiss Corentin.

She then carefully begins to lower Tia into the bath water. It'll be alright baby. Vidalia will take good care of you. She says soothingly.

Why? Quinn asks simply, no condemnation or dissapointment in her tone, just a simple question...



Dani nods, grinning. Crimson...likes Irene. We were talking 'bout it the other night.

It clicks and the teen blushes slightly. I see...

Crimson doesn't answer, but just looks down at the open wounds on her arm. It isn't clear if she doesn't know the answer, or simply isn't going to say it. Perhaps she just doesn't want to admit to herself...

Corentin kisses Vidalia and watches as she tries to bathe Tia.

Dani giggles. Yup! So how are you liking it here? She shifts a little, stretching a leg.


Quinn gently goes to rest her hand on Crimson's wound and tries to Lay On Hands it better.
It that works. BR can't remember if it does or not, Quinn would know.
