[ACRO] GLoG 27: Pay No Attention to the Thread Behind the Curtain!

Dani takes a deep breath, giggling and blushing. You really think I'm beautiful? Thanks! She then turns a little more serious. Not...exactly everything. But I think things are getting better.


My parents decided it was a good name for their daughter, Quinn explains to the irrepressably cheerful George, before getting thwacked by Zee. Ow! She counters, feinting low before swinging for a gentle tap to the side of the head...

[Jackalajack]

"Hello there, Zee! Does your name have story, too? Because your real name is super long and there must be some story behind it! And if there is not, then Zee must have a story because the word Zee is not even in your real name!" George says, nodding.

Once Zee attacks Quinn, George's mouth goes agape. "Gosh, you really should not be doing that! You might hurt each other and that would really not be fine for anyone! But yes I am a really positive person because life is so great and a really fun thing to be doing!"

[SeptAngel]

She nods in slight understanding. I'm sure they are doing their best to help you figure things out.

[Falgorn]

Smiles! Yes, I do. I take it you've talked with Sam?

[AmberVael]

"Yeah..."
Crimson doesn't quite sound as certain.

[SeptAngel]

I may not know everyone around here, but they seem to really want to help people. Even people within this building. She tries to sound reassuring.

[AmberVael]

"I don't know if they have things right though."
Explains Crimson, putting her arms around herself and frowning.

Dani sighs and looks down.
I...don't think she wants to talk to me anymore.



Quinn rolls her eyes at George. We're training.

Well, what do you think are the right things?

"Ummmm..."
Crimson bites her lip, looking at Alexis nervously.
"Maybe I shouldn't talk about it."
She says, her voice trailing off.

[SeptAngel]

Just between us, I promise.

[Rebonack]

"My full name is long because of the naming convention my culture us-*CLONG!*"

Zee staggers back, rubbing her head now. It seems she isn't terribly good at multi-tasking today. Normally she can provide combat banter but Mister Sun-shine seems to be throwing her off for whatever reason.

"Eerr... We're just sparring. Not trying to hurt each other or anything. It's like aerobics with sticks!"

[Jackalajack]

"Training for what?" George asks, a confused look on his face. "Are you expecting to be in a fight later? Because I think that you should never expect to be in a fight. I am the sort of person who believes fights are bad and that you should try and avoid them if you can! I enjoy avoiding fights with words, but sometimes your legs running at super-speeds works, too. Although that is not a permanent fix."

George looks on hopefully, hoping with hope that his words mean something to Quinn. Hopefully.

[AmberVael]

Crimson still looks really unsure and hesitant, and is struggling with the idea of talking to Alexis about it.

[SeptAngel]

She scoots a bit closer. Hey, you can trust me.

[The Bushranger]

You're going to get yourself killed with that attitude, Quinn says flatly as she steps back to give Zee a moment to collect herself.

[AmberVael]

"Well..."
Crimson looks up at Alexis uncertainly.
"I was taught- and learned myself- that life is a very cruel thing. I've always thought, um, that the underworld- and the peace it holds in death- was better than life."

[SeptAngel]

She nods, really unsure of what to say. Death can be peaceful, yes. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy life.

[Jackalajack]

"How can you die if you don't get in fights?" George responds plainly, letting out a sigh.

[AmberVael]

Crimson doesn't say anything to Alexis's words, just staring down at her feet.

[Rebonack]

Uh oh. Sounds like a super-pacifist.

"If the world were perfect, then I would agree with you," Zee comments, now utterly distracted from the sparring match. "But when it comes down to protecting the important things in life sometimes violence is the only solution. And that's not even getting into the subject of justice. After all-"

Zee then quite sneakily drops to the floor and sweeps out with one leg, aiming to clip Quinn's feet out from under her.

"There are some people that will continue hurting other people if left to their own devices."

[SeptAngel]

Just stab him Quinn!

Alexis tries to lift Crimson's head so she can look at her. I've always believed that death is peaceful and that we should embrace it when it comes.

[Hyozo]

"Sometimes figthing is the only option." Comments Crodelus, approaching Zee, George, and Quinn, his "dog" following him. :Since I've joined, the league has prevented the apocalypse, twice. Try as you might, you can't do that on just words and running.

EDIT: ((Out of all the typos I could make, I manage to misspell my own character's name? Also, short deadtime is (hopefully) short.))

"It's... not quite the same."
Says Crimson, her eyes flicking to one side to avoid Alexis's gaze.

Then explain it to me. I'd like to understand.

She would but...


...before Quinn can say anything more, Zee's sneak attack knocks her feet out from under her.
Gah!
And down she goes!
Thud!

...whoops.

Unconsious Quinn is unconsious!

[Jackalajack]

George frowns a bit. "But would not the first step to making the world a better place be to have less fights? I mean, gosh, stopping the fight starts with you! Only you can prevent forest fights, or something like that. A bear told that to me once. He was a very kind bear. He even had a neat little hat!" George rambles, gathering up happy-momentum once more.

"And also isn't it kind of super-wrong to say that it is sometimes the only solution? Nothing is ever the only solution because you always have multiple choices for everything! It is part of what makes life so great!"

Once Quinn goes unconscious, George rushes over to her. "Gee, that is not super-cool at all! Now we should do something so she wakes back up! Can someone pretty please be nice and get ice?"

[Falgorn]

Marcos manages a weak smile. I hope I can help you somehow... He slides closer to her.

"Um..."
Crimson hesitates even more than she did before, and pulls away from Alexis, shaking her head.

She nods and backs up a bit. Alright, you don't have to tell me.
