Re: Groundhog's Random Banter of Weather Prediction and Anti-Gopherness #120
To what? Read Twilight?
No thanks. Think I'd rather sit in a bathtub full of scissors.

Don't turn it down so quickly, Cristo. It could be good for some good laughs. I personally want to read the first one just to laugh at the stupidity.
Besides, I've read worse. I'd like to see you read all 44 chapters of My Immortal.

Re: Groundhog's Random Banter of Weather Prediction and Anti-Gopherness #120
It's rare enough that I have the time to sit down and actually read a book, so I'm definitely not going to waste it on that drivel.
Speaking of reading, Day Watch is calling me.

Re: Groundhog's Random Banter of Weather Prediction and Anti-Gopherness #120
I read it.
There were moments that captured my attention, a couple that even made me think "this is a good scene", but the majority of it was laughable. In every single scene of Edward's, she spent at least a paragraph describing his appearance and how perfect (using that exact word) he was.
BARF.
I tried to read number two, got about a third of the way through, and said, "screw this". It was even worse, were that possible.

They can take our Sneaks, but they'll take our sense of ironically enjoying things when we're even misusing the word IRONY!
*sniffles* Sneak, I just wanted to let you know, Good Luck, we're all counting on you.

Wow, Rutskarn. What a perfectly crafted and anticipated response!
Arrgh, can't sleep, and JoCo's Mandlebrot Set stuck in my head.

Great, now I can't sleep and want to stick some JoCo in my head.
Sorry to hear that though, Phase. At least it's not bad music!
Anyone ever had strouganouff here before? It's like a stew, right? ...So how bad is it that my favorite way to eat it is off of large, thick pieces of pan-fried bread?

Re: Groundhog's Random Banter of Weather Prediction and Anti-Gopherness #120
Like stew? Ummm... I don't think so, unless I've been doing it wrong for a very long time. It's usually (in my experience, at least) served over noodles, but I could see it working with bread. Sounds pretty good, in fact.
@VV: How do you determine whether a given foodstuff is "stewy enough" to serve on bread? Does it turn into a Family Guy marathon in your mouth?Last edited by Philistine; 2009-06-03 at 07:45 AM.

Re: Groundhog's Random Banter of Weather Prediction and Anti-Gopherness #120
First things first, w00t! Today was awesome. I went through my History exams like a bat out of hell, and then French, didn't go quite as well but still not bad (I think). And now I don't have any more exams for another week, yay!
I hope you all had wonderful days too. How are you lovely people? This avatar pierces the heavens and is by Miss Nobody!SpoilerOriginally Posted by Anuan

Re: Groundhog's Random Banter of Weather Prediction and Anti-Gopherness #120
I'm good thanks. My history exam went ok as well, but I forgot who Hindenburg was and so was talking about some German war hero dude by accident, but it's not like I'll lose marks for it. Also, I was in a breeze and as freezing throughout the whole exam. But I think I still did fairly well

Re: Groundhog's Random Banter of Weather Prediction and Anti-Gopherness #120
Heh, my history exam was awesome.
We got questions like "What were the military restrictions placed on germany in the treaty of versailles?" "Was the treaty of versailles fair to the germans?""I'm just going on motive and opportunity here and the fact that if the earth got swallowed by a black hole, I'd look suspiciously in your direction first."

Re: Groundhog's Random Banter of Weather Prediction and Anti-Gopherness #120
Hindenburg - President of the Reichstag, opposed Hitler, died at some point in the early 1930s (1932/1933).
We had that question, but the caption on the picture above said "President Hindenburg". It sort of gave the answer away.
It's'all good then.
French exam did not quite go so well. I'm meant to be aiming for a B, I think I'll be lucky to get a C.This avatar pierces the heavens and is by Miss Nobody!SpoilerOriginally Posted by Anuan
