As in, he panics and runs away despite his newfound powers, he hasn't really got any reserves of Heroic Willpower to draw on, he gets crushes, he gets acne, he gets angsty, he hangs out with the nerds at school and isn't particularly popular or particularly unpopular, he worries and has self-esteem issues, and rather than charging head-first in to save his friends it's more of a reluctant sidle?

What methods do Shinigami use to detect Hollows from the Seireitei? It seems to me that an Espada letting his reiatsu run wild would quickly draw the Court Guard's eye, especially at the site of two very recent combats.

I'd guess they have some kind of squad with sensor equipment constantly watching the Living World. How else would they know when to find pluses...
