Natsuko's specialty is actually the use of Seele Schneiders.

Really, I think it's just a thing you have to do with your reiatsu, and the Zanpaktou is just used by Shinigami as a focus.

At least that's what I'm sticking to with Natsuko.

There's also -kun, used to refer to those of junior status, or by anyone referring to male children. It would also be used by girls to refer to boys that they 'are emotionally attached to or have known for a long period of time' (gotta love Wikipedia)

If one or more is the type that would want to take a victim alive for whatever dastardly purpose, Taniko could last long enough for the Captain-Commander to put both of your characters down.
