So I was thinking of entering a second charcter (as pretty much every active player has done) and I'd quite like to make one who has powers similar to Chad if thats ok. I've pretty much been inspired playing through m old games by one of the main characters. Power wise he'd be pretty much a chad clone but much more of a comic relief character, every series needs one after all.

Would this be ok by everyone?

If we're going to start replacing captains, then I might as well throw my idea out here.

As I said before, I'd kinda like to see my substitute get at least a little trouble from the rest of the shinigami, and while I realize that a whole execution plot wouldn't work with our kinder, gentler Gotei 13, I had another thought. If someone out there wants to make a captain (or adapt their own) that sees the whole deal with the substitute shinigami in the mortal world and basically says "well, that ain't right," so they do everything in their power to bring Masato down. Maybe with everything that's going on the real world, Masato could be brought to Soul Society to keep him safe and train while things calm down, then said captain sees his chance to attack. Heck, if he's got a smooth enough tongue, he could gather support from some of the other squads too.

Interesting. I actually kinda like it. Maybe use a captain that's basically an NPC, if we don't end up re-filling every slot.

Dude, strike of lightning. He experiments on Masato, which can give him the lead-in to his Hollowification (since, let's face it, Masato's going to need a hollow mask to stand on even ground in this RP). But he does it secretly, so only Masato himself knows who did it. He gets mad and demands the captain be brought to justice. Obviously, the rest of the Gotei 13 will defend their fellow captain (but still start investigating) while Masato, angry at the betrayal, will find some answers on his own, even if that means fighting his way through the rest of the shinigami to find them.

Wham, bam, we have epic conflict.

With all the talking about obtaining new levels of power, I started thinking (any shock and awe can go here). My character's Bankai isn't really a whole lot different than his Shikai. On top of that, the way I've written him suggests he's not really comfortable with it yet. So I think what I'm going to state is that he is the most recently ranked captain, and still only has a rough grasp on his bankai. He'll probably work out something (translation; I'll come up with something random that sounds cool to me) and gain his actual final release, rather than just a 'technical bankai'. The 'bankai' he has at the moment only increases his power level by 3 to 5 times his shikai level, rather than the 5-10 that is standard.

Is that alright with those concerned?

cool! I'll try to come up with something fairly soon, so as to give it time to develop. I probably won't be using it any time soon...I'm shooting for using my Bankai at least twice before it 'evolves' to its actual form.

er...I just realized, that kinda means I'm automatically exempt from the captains who are in that book...is that alright? (<--hates to take advantage of something that may be overlooked...) Also, most captains besides well...Commander-General, Shirubaru, (I assume that's ok?) and one other captain, will be unaware of his Bankai. He doesn't release unless it is necessary, especially not his final release.

My shinigami has only used his shikai once and never his bankai, refraining is a good idea.

Edit: Actually, given just how much stuff involves the 4th, anyone mind if my squad has multiple VCs? Methinks Sigmund's 4th seat would better serve as another directly under him.

That may not be a coincidence, actually. The character was originally supposed to be called Kiljaeden, but when I googled it beforehand and found that it was already being used I changed it. It's possible that at some point I'd seen the name in a different context and it buried itself into my subconscious.

How good are the Identicals at keeping their reiatsu cloaked?

They don't have much to begin with, and any on a stealth mission is outfitted with reiatsu cloaking devices.

If you want to though, I could say that lazy Identical forgot to wear his, wouldn't put it past the idiots.

This sounds like a job for the groundskeepers! I've been waiting for a chance to use this trick I came up with, where Kagekyoku uses Bound Lightning while blocking to zap the attacker with their own zanpaktou.

If it's fine by you, that could be rather entertaining. It wouldn't be Siegfried who notices him, though; his senses are rather dulled at present from proximity to a massive flow of reiatsu like John gave off during their fight.

Just a quick note: The easiest way to find him would be to just follow all of the missing persons reports. I know disappearances happen all the time in soul sociey, but probably not whole houses at a time.
