[ACRO] GLoG 28: The People's Republic of Magtok

((Ah. I wondered...no worries. :) ))

Aww, leaving so soon? I'm sure we'll bump into each other again at some point. Patty waves, actually looking, for a moment, genuinely dissapointed at Serene's departure, before giving a nod to Vlad and turning to give herself the self-tour of the base.

"No doubt."
Serene smirks and leaves.

Vlad nods back to Patty. Then he gets some generic food.

Tia is bandaged and dressed. She waits for a little while after Vidalia has gone off to bed before leaving the infirmary. She wanders through the quiet halls for a little while before heading back towards Vidalia's room. She stops at the infirmary on the way back and gets herself a glass of water which she carries with her. When she reaches the room, she strips down and places her cloths in a neat pile out of the way on the outside of the door. She then dumps the cold water on herself. A moment later a fox curls up on the makeshift bed outside Vidalia's room and settles down for the night.

Is that Khiansa wandering around GLoG, mooching around as if looking for a friend... or a hug... or a... a... a......... pleasedon'thurtme?

But yeah. Looking for someone. Maybe Chelonie. Or a plot clone of Chelonie.

Meanwhile, the front door is being fixed by Engineering Drones. And the Rose Garden is being replanted as well, the soil apparently having become the most fertile soil... anywhere, thanks to Falgorn.
And look, there's a drone in a suit overseeing the replanting. A weird looking suit too.

[Reinholdt]

And is that Reinholdt the humanoid catman about to turn the corner and run into Khiansa?
Probably.
For chaos purposes purely.

And strangely, there is no flipping out. Only a look. A look strong enough to make paladins quail before his might. It worked on the elves. And not those tree-hugging hippie elves either. I mean those overpowered, super-fast, magic-slinging, Paolini-described uber-humans of Herculean strength. Of course, said elves didn't have long to quail before Khiansa killed them.
And then he speaks. In a light, calm tone, as if conversing with a beloved friend.
"I was not aware you were a member here. Or are you up to your usual mischief."
If you can call attempted universal destruction mischief.

And behold! A plot clone of Chelonie wheels into the greatroom, her wheelchair's electric motor humming in a way she finds intensely annoying.

[Reinholdt]

Mischief! and Mayhem! and Carnage! and... I'm sorry. What were we talking about?

Reinholdt shrinks back slightly, though recovers quickly from the initial glare. "I've only recently joined."

Reinholdt looks over at Chelonie. "Hello. Feeling any better?"

[Ashen Lilies]

Indeed. She's going to have to get one of those magitek ones. Much more quiet. The only problem is that if you get hit by any sort of counter-magic, you get stopped dead. But an EMP would do the same for her current one, so blah.

"Hello. It's good to see you."

"I'm feeling fine," Chelonie says. "It's good to see you as well, Khiansa. I'm glad you weren't affected as badly by the hospital as I was."

[Reinholdt]

"The hospital?"
He's heard rumors of its destruction.

[Ashen Lilies]

"I wouldn't quite say that. I'm loath to give you something else to worry about, but I think you need to know this. The Brightheart... [dramatic pause]... has been stolen."

"The hospital is destroyed. Khiansa and I tried to clean it out, but it's too big a job for a small team. And I was exposed to something there that acted as a trigger for chronic fatigue syndrome." Chelonie frowns at the news of the Brightheart. Didn't Magtok say he was using it? She tries to puzzle it out, but the brain fog just makes her confused and tired. "Any idea who took it?"

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt doesn't miss a beat and his face turns to that of surprise when he hears this. He was honestly expecting it. If Khiansa hadn't told Chelonie earlier than it was a trap to test him. Either way, his reaction needed to be the same.

Stupid simulcram. Finishing the job after Reinholdt thought it was dead and after joining GLoG.

Still, he stays quiet for Chelonie.

[Ashen Lilies]

"I checked the security feeds. It was a cat. And not the one with us here."
He completely ignores Reinholdt.

[Lord Magtok]

Oh dear. Magtok probably should've taken the time to cut out that bit of footage.

And so Chelonie jumps to exactly the wrong conclusion about the wrong cat for the wrong reasons. "There's been another talking cat around here, with a blue star. I tried to kill it, but it escaped. I can only speculate that the lich took more than one cat with him from Reinholdt's homeworld."

Her volume drops and her words slow as she speaks. Talking and thinking this much is making her tired.

[Reinholdt]

La de da. Reinholdt is ignored. Of course then Chelonie drops something of a bomb on him. Even if he knows it's not the cat that stole the Brightheart. If it was the Simulcram, Chelonie would've pegged it as Reinholdt.

So either she's delusional or... she's telling... the truth...

Reinholdt pales considerably and makes his way to a chair to sit rather finding all his strength has quite disappeared in seconds. Stunned Reinholdt is stunned.

[Ashen Lilies]

I wonder if she'll achieve ultimate arcane power?

Khiansa, seeing Chelonie's exhaustion decides not to press the matter.
"You should rest, Chelonie."

[happyturtle]

"Yeah... I think I should... take some rest..."

And Chelonie uses the joystick on her wheelchair to take her back to her quarters. Her steering is a little clumsy, but nothing to be too alarmed about.

Her player goes to have a rest as well. Stupid cfs.

[Reinholdt]

Stare.

Stare.
Drool a little? Nah. None of that fortunately.
Sit.
Stare.

Until Reinholdt decides it's time to go check the security footage to verify what Chelonie said. To the security room.

Hey look. It's Phoenix, looking... oddly blank. I think it's the Deadtime Ooze attached to the base of his neck.

Corentin Apollinaire, Gentleman Adventurer, leads a pair of horses into the shadowland around GLoG, hopefully bearing Crimson, Irene, and Quinn. Arriving at GLoG, he would help them all dismount before leading the horses a short distance away to his servant, Giles, who would take the horses from there.

[Reinholdt]

Irene arrives outside with the rest of the group. "Wow. What happened here? You know what? Nevermind. I don't want to know." If those idiots had listened to her in the first place this never would have happened. Now they're reaping their just desserts. Hmph.

[AmberVael]

The shadow land around GLoG has receded a fair bit by now, but the flickery, shadowy area is still there.
"Um... well, we'll all need to stand over there. And hold hands."
Crimson says, pointing to the shadowland.
She looks extremely ashamed at Irene's comment.

[Neon Knight]

Corentin nodded to Crimson, then turned to Irene. "Do you want me fetch... Phoenix, was it?"

[Reinholdt]

"Yes that's right. Phoenix. He's the guy over there." Irene points. How convenient. "HI PHOENIX!!" She waves.

Crimson smiles faintly, and moves to take Corentin and Irene's hands.
"Come on then."

Corentin gently took Crimson's hand, giving it a soft reassuring squeeze before waiting for her to begin.
