[ACRO] GLoG 29: Under New Management

[Neon Knight]

Corentin Apollinaire sits up from his chair in the Great Room and levels a flintlock at Shrike. "Hello, Miss Shrike. Unfortunate that we meet again in these circumstances."

[Morty]

Wenomir arrives at the scene.
Stop that, both of you!

[Falgorn]

Falgorn wakes up and takes a shower. He then goes to Taverna.

Marcos undeadtimes and goes to the Infirmary.

One drone is hit by lightning and falls to the ground.

The other attempts to stun Shrike. The two facing Irene attempt to get between the combatants, but do not shoot.

[Reinholdt]

Irene hmphs, but stands there on guard.
Mostly mumbling a long string of swear words directed Shrike's way.

[happyturtle]

Well then...

((If the drones stun Shrike, she can be carried off...))

((I think this is permission to have the stunning succeed.))

Shrike is stunned. The three drones back off a bit, but remain watchful.

Corentin puts away his pistol and goes over to Irene. "Are you hurt, Madam?"

[Reinholdt]

Irene dismisses her sword and bring her hand up to the side of head. A small trickle of blood comes down the slash the dagger made. "Nothing serious I think. Hurts like... yeah. Hurts."

She points at Shrike. "What do you intend to do with her?" It's pretty evident what Irene thinks should be done to her. I'm not sure she fully comprehends the forgiveness/redemption deal. Especially with enemies.

"Wenomir will take her into custody," Chelonie says, wheeling over. "Do you know why she attacked you?"

[Morty]

Wenomir seathes his sword, his player being too tired by the god-damned heat to post before, and orders some drones to take Shrike to a detention cell.
I'll have a lot of work making this place secure.

[Reinholdt]

Irene sits down muttering something about death over imprisonment or something of that nature.

She feels her wound again and winces. "Yeah. She was hired to kill me. Then tried to extort more money out of me to fake my death."

[Neon Knight]

Corentin watches the drones take Shrike away. "Curious. I did not know Miss Dani's sister was of the character to take assassination work."

[Reinholdt]

"Yeah, well... Adam's pockets are deep and the pay was high. He could probably afford to hire anyone. Bastard. I thought he'd just let me go, but nooo... Has to keep his cat slave farm in check. Has to get his money."

[Neon Knight]

Corentin looked back to Irene. "Will he try again?"

[Morty]

Wenomir raises an eybrow.
Who's Adam?

[happyturtle]

"We'll just have to take care of this Adam. We need to talk to Czernov about it."

Hired killers coming into her home and attacking members of her extended tribe make angry barbarian angry.

[Reinholdt]

Irene practically flails. "Will he try again? Of course he'll try again! He tried once! Heck, Shrike will try again cause she'll get out and try to fulfill her contract!" Flail, flail.

Oh hey. Another question. Irene calms down a little. "Adam is the catboy head of the place where Butler and I grew up. He basically forces his thought process on the catfolk and then sends them out into the world as part of the workforce. They all send money back to him and breed for him. I got lucky and got out cause of my amnesia, but if I never got that I'm sure I'd be as bad off or worse than Butler."

Look. Talk she can handle. Taking care of him. Yay!

"If I head back to Creation I don't think he can find me." Maybe it's time to get that back on track.

[Morty]

Wenomir frowns.
Bastard. Yes, we need to talk with Czernov about doing something about him. And I'll take special care of this little mercenary.

[Neon Knight]

Corentin nodded a bit hesitantly. "Perhaps..." If they left, Corentin would go with them, but he hadn't gotten to spend much time with Vidalia yet.

[Reinholdt]

"Alright... thanks Wenomir." She smiles at him. Wenomir was one of the people around here she trusted and liked.

Not so sure about Chelonie, but whatever. She came to Irene's aid. Good enough for now.

"Yeah. We should get that going. Besides, the sooner we help Scarlet the better." Irene ponders. Why did she even come back to GLoG in the first place? Oh right. The restaurant. Odd. She wasn't one to give up so easily. Huh. And couldn't returning to GLoG have waited until after they were done in Creation?

Well whatever. It was done now. No point in dwelling on it. "I'm going to go get this cut taken care of." She stands to head to the infirmary.

[happyturtle]

"If you feel you need to leave... I can't blame you, but we'll certainly try to protect you better if you remain here. Yeah, you'd better get that wound looked at though."

Chelonie returns to the laptop.

[Morty]

Wenomir smiles a bit in return. His face would probably break anyway if he tried a bigger smile. But he gets serious quickly.
Where are you going?

[Reinholdt]

"Don't worry too much. We had to go there anyways. And we'll be back."

She looks at Wenomir. "Creation. Sorta related to where Scarlet's from." She points at the still sleeping Crimson. Unless she woke up and was secretly listening or something.

"Corentin can fill you in on the rest of the details. I have to go make sure this doesn't scar." She ducks into the infirmary to work on that. Oh. And disinfect it too. While she's there.

[Falgorn]

Marcos is in the infirmary, actually acting like a doctor. If Irene's there, she'll be greeted by a warm smile, blush free. He's more comfortable with people in the Infirmary. Hello, Miss Irene. Something wrong? He notices the cut. Oh. Need any help?

[Reinholdt]

"Huh? Oh yeah. Sure. Didn't know there was a doctor here. Could you treat this and make sure it doesn't leave any lasting scars?" She goes to sit on a bed where Marcos may work on her while she's deadtimed. Which happens to be right now.

[Morty]

Wenomir shrugs. As you wish, he says as Irene leaves, then he heads to the detention block.

[Falgorn]

"Treating" meaning "Applying anti infection stuff, then using magic to magic-ify the rest."

...

Yeah, he does that.

Falgorn comes back.

[Neon Knight]

Corentin returns to his chair, shaking his head slightly and making a mental note to speak with Dani about her sister.

[The Bushranger]

Shrike is dragged off to a cell, where she remains semi-consious.


Dani, oblivious, is still in the shooting range plinking away.


Quinn, also oblivious, is still in the Rose Garden, planting roses.

Misaki, also oblivious, is still planting roses with Quinn.

Corentin rises from his chair in the Great Room to go look for Dani. He starts in the kitchen, and will eventually find his way to the shooting range.
