I don't think so, but the point still stands that his attempt to magically become a Vizard should run into difficulties, especially since there's a captain on the same battlefield that's succumbed to his inner hollow that has more experience opposing it than he does.

In fairness, there is room for people to get out. Just put up a barricade that can stand up to the blast for one minute. Augustus left after that, so you'd just need to cope with Identicals, which can be taken out via godmod if necessary.
