Re: Test Of Spite Dungeon Direct, Special edition [3.5]
Ice Storm has a 20' radius, and they're 45' apart, so no, even without the fact that it would certainly hit at least one ally in the process.

Re: Test Of Spite Dungeon Direct, Special edition [3.5]
Tina drops out of the tree with a thunk, right next to the Dwarf corpse.
Edit: I thought the tree canopy gave concealment, do they not suffer the miss chance? Plus they'll need to make a DC 26 Spot roll to target me after having moved back into concealment.
Edit edit: I've just reread my post and it's clear not even a little bit that I was flying in the tree canopy rather than walking, in fact I even typed step. bah. stone cold next to dead dwarf, lets hope for nice rolls on the reincarnate.Last edited by mostlyharmful; 2009-07-15 at 12:23 PM.

Re: Test Of Spite Dungeon Direct, Special edition [3.5]
Tina: Hiding requires a move action, can't be done while observed, and requires a special action to do after attacking. Look up the entry under 'Sniping' in the SRD to get an idea - it's difficult.
Dok: Both UGTs are killed. The blubbery thing dies either this round or next round.
Battle is over. You're out of initiative.

*whistles* Dog! Leave it and come let me look at ye.
Yeah, we're gonna need to get both o' ye fixed up.
Dok starts chanting, and a small herd of unicorns appears. Thar, that should fix ye up. This cursed place is already tendin' to the others that fell, apparently, they'll be back in a couple o' days. I don' like it, though. None o' this is right.
On to happier topics, then. Do ye think these arche's 'll make good eating?
Burn Find the Path for (1d4+1)[4] Unicorns. Each unicorn heals 42.5 HP on average, do I need to roll it? If not, 2 of them put me and my companion at full, and the other 2 focus on Jaya(I love Share Spells).Last edited by Sstoopidtallkid; 2009-07-15 at 01:21 PM.

"I wouldn't doubt that with enough fire, you could eat them, but I'd advise against eating the corpses of random monsters. They can have... unusual effects." Jaya warns, petting a unicorn gently. "Let's take a walk around this place, I'm sure there are provision stored around here."
"Might be on the archers too. What did their bodies turn up?"

A thorough search of the bodies and area will turn up:
Gems:
alexandrite (dark green, but transmitted light is red)
almandine (dark red - garnet)
blue john fluorite (crystals are like intertwined blocks)
blue opal
faden quartz (clear with white fiberlike inclusions)
gray agate
howlite (gray to white)
irtios
kornerupine
ulvaen
Objects:
carved harp of darkwood, with jet inlay and ruby gems
golden crown, 6 spires, with a large fire opal at the brow and circled with chrysoberyl
golden phoenix cloak pin with garnets
periapt, onyx on silver chain
Potions:
potion : pearl-colored, oily, luminous appearance
potion : ultramarine-colored, effervescent, layered appearance

Re: Test Of Spite Dungeon Direct, Special edition [3.5]
ooc: grats to have survived that quite challenging first encounter! (OK, not all of us )
On the reincarnate spell: the soul must be willing to return ... and since it would be utter horror for a dwarf to risk being reborn as a goblinoid ... Technically, I guess the permanent enlarge would be also gone - but I could end up with a LA race. Too complicated for monk testing in my view.
Let's wait for the respawn!Last edited by Sir Giacomo; 2009-07-15 at 02:29 PM.
