Thread for OOC stuff related to the ACRONYM organizations - AMEN, GLoG, HALO, NO, PEACE etc.

If you're curious, ACRONYM stands for Associated Crazy and Redundant Organizations Needlessly Yearning Meaning. It's hard to define exactly what makes an ACRONYM, but they all share the following characteristics.

1. Their name is an acronym.
2. They tend to revolve around some sort of common trait shared by most of their members - in most cases, this is alignment, but we've had at least one organization that allowed only female characters.
3. They are roleplaying games, obviously.
4. They have one thread which is their "main" or "HQ" thread, which are usually numbered in Roman numerals and has a different, witty title for each new thread, and occasionally have spin-off threads for plots that take place outside of the base.
5. All the ACRONYMs exist in a sort of shared multiverse.

• AMEN - The Association of Malicious, Evil, and Nefarious. The original ACRONYM group, and the longest running (if not the one with the most threads). Wacky, crazy, and often needlessly violent. Enter at your own risk.
• HALO - The Heroic, Anti-Evil and Lawbreaking Organization. The first good-centered ACRONYM which survived more than a few threads. Currently holds the record for most threads. Formerly arch-enemies of AMEN.
• GLoG - The Good League of Good. Their name comes from The Evil League of Evil, from Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. The second good-centered organization to survive. Why two good organizations? There are distinct roleplaying differences between the two. If you want to join a good organization, I'd recommend trying out both and seeing which fits your likes better.
• NO - The Neutralist Organization. Where gray is the new black. Very neutral.
• PEACE - A semi-serious roleplaying organisation for evildoers, where plot is tolerated, and stamped on less than in AMEN.

1. Acronym organizations are NOT Cliques, Clubs, or FanGroups. They are Role-Playing Games. Please start one only if you and a certain group of people have intent of following it through. If it's for the sake of having something in your sig, make up a club, gather friends, and sig it.
2. Acronym Organizations should be open. As per forum rules, nobody is to be denied admittance into our circle. Note: this is referring to players, not characters, it's perfectly reasonable to not allow evil characters in your good organization (unless they want to become good, but that's besides the point) but you can't not allow a player to join.
3. If Rule 1 is met by your intentions, please make sure none of the existing organizations fit your Role-Playing Necessities. Organizations based around the same thing should be significantly different in style, i.e. HALO and GLoG.
4. If a plot within an existent organization requires the creation of a new organization, remember that it is not necessary to create the organization OOC. Organizations can be created fully IC within the bounds of another organization, for example, AMEN's TESTAMENT.
5. It's not Personal, it's ACRONYM. As much as our characters may fight each other, remember we're all friends here and just want to have fun with each other.

Hey, I made up the name long before FFRP back when he was a D&D character! And at that time he wasn't even using his real name, so it was ok to have some strange one cause it never came up.

So we've got a memory messer-upper huh?

I hope not. The last thing I need is another Alek. I already had to go through that twice, and I'm not really fond of the idea of being forced to RP that a third time.

I don't think it'll be forced on you DC. But maybe I'm seeing things differently. RPing with characters is usually voluntary and there's always another thread to visit instead. Though not always, cause it's rude to ignore stuff too.

As for Alek, I wasn't really around for his first time around when he really terrorized things. The second time around all I think happened was Cal tried to manipulate him and Butler (to this day I believe) thinks Alek's voice in his head is Lex.

The first time he ended up getting killed by an ion blast to the face after possessing his sister (not Amelia, a different one) and shapeshifting into a dragon.

Because he tried to mindfrak DC. He really didn't like it.

Hence ion blasts to the face.

So DC, if Alek returns, will probably start freaking out.

It took me five tries to get it right. Though I still thought the name Lulu was funner. Calulu. Like Cthulu, but adorably evil!

Hmm... what should I call those scorpion-drone thingies? They're just there to help less powerful characters fight big baddies invading. Y'know, to even the odds a bit. No arguing, no drama, just... EXTERMINATE!

Anyways, I went with Scorpidrones, but that feels so lame right now. Any ideas?
