GLoG XXXIV: It gets worse!

"Isn't there anything you want at all sir? Maybe even ice cream sir?" Butler is sad. He never gets to do anything nice for his best friend.

Marley sees DC and Butler.

"Um, Darkcomet, you know about Cal being back, right?"

[Darkcomet]

DC turns to Marley briefly and nods before turning back to Butler.

Not in the mood for much right now, Butler. Sorry.

I was scared you would hate me and wouldn't come back. Quinn admits as she gently pats Misaki's back, her own cheeks streaked with tears. I'm so sorry I wasn't there to protect you...



And BR, alas, now has to head home from the library.

Marley stares at Butler.

"Wait a moment. Oh shoot."

Marley's face goes white.

"Cal's in Irene's body, and Cal likes to mess with people, and the people at the estates are easy to mess with.
Cal might be heading there right now."

[Reinholdt]

"Oh, I'm sorry sir. I hope things get better for you sir."

Butler looks at Marley confused. Cal? Oh... a nickname or something. Wait... wasn't he bad or something?

Misaki holds onto Quinn and cries as she deadtimes.

The flowers are, in fact, real...

And Quinn hugs Misaki back, just as tightly, trying to be reassuring even as she cries herself.



Alex chuckles and shakes his head. There's no argument at all. Each of us is greater than the other. He winks.

Alexis blushes and sits back in her chair.

DC's player has to go eat now, though.

Magtok quietly steps into GLoG, not bothering with any sort of disguise or plan or anything like that. Unless stopped, he'll head over to the bulletin board, and try to get a feel for what sort of things have been going on in his absence.

Alexis heads out of the infirmary for something to eat. She might pass Magtok on the way there. If she does, he'll get a small smile from the teen who looks like she hasn't been sleeping much.

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok only spares her the briefest of acknowledging glances. Pfft. Smelly inconsequential person. Faaaar too unimportant to have anything to do with the likes of him and...is that the kitchen she's headed towards? He could talk her into making sandwiches, something he's far too rich and important to have ever learned to do for himself! Mag reads over another bulletin and then follows.

Alexis doesn't notice she's being followed until she hits the kitchen. Umm, hi. She smiles but looks a little nervous.

[Lord Magtok]

Hi. Hey, I was wondering, can you cook? 'Cause I can't really make much of anything, and all the bots serve is cake.

[SeptAngel]

Uh, yeah I can cook alright. What would you like? She asks, looking in the fridge.

Marley walks over to the kitchen.

"So, Magtok, it looks like you had a clone let over."

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok shakes his head.

Naw, reanimation. I'm something of an undead at the moment. And I'll have the roast brai...err, I mean the leftover chicken.

[ThePhantom]

"Great, now everyone is coming back as some form of undead."

Marley goes over to the armory.

Alexis nods, not catching what he was about to say. Quietly, she starts warming up chicken with potatoes.

An undead Corentin Apollinaire walks into the armory.

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok laughs.

Marley, I was kidding about the brains thing! Honest! And unlike whatever anyone else may've been doing, my resurrection was entirely scientific and non-magical! Marley? Marley, any particular reason why you're heading for the armory?

By the end of Magtok's shouts to the other fellow, it's clear he's getting more than a little nervous.

Alexis fixes two plates and places on in front of Magtok.

"With Cal being back, I can't take chances!"

Marley yells back at Magtok while he enters the armory.

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok blinks. That doesn't mean him, does it? No, no, of course not. Mag's just being self-centered and paranoid at the moment, Marley's just arming himself for self-defense and whatnot.

I'd keep an eye on that one if I were you, he seems like he might be a few batteries short of a death ray.

Alexis raises an eyebrow at them while starting to eat, sitting on the counter top.

[Lord Magtok]

For now, Magtok's content to simply sit and eat as well. It's almost sad how far he's come from his original plans for today, holding up the Taverna with a shiny red laser gun.

So, you were dead? Alexis asks like a curious teenager.

DC snaps out of his food/player laziness induced deadtime and looks over to the kitchen to see... Magtok?

That's what I was thinking, Alexis...

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok grins, and grabs a nearby plastic cup, waving his hand about it before it reshapes to form an elaborate model of Rein and Magtok's final fight atop that climatic roller coaster.

I was sacrificed into a pit of magma to set off a devastating self-destruct mechanism to ensure the doom of a would-be conqueror of the world.

He waves his hand again, and the cup reshapes to a body on a slab, being jolted with lightning in a gaudy Frankenstein-esque procedure, with a small female figure nearby.

But recently, thanks to MagCave policy, a resourceful intern, Ms. Dale I think, reanimated one of the corpses lying around. Magtok lives again!

Another handwave, and the cup returns to its normal form, so Magtok can pour some juice into it.

Or he unlives, maybe. I'm a bit sketchy on the details of the process.

That's... She trails off not having much to say. That's bad and cool at the same time. I don't think I've ever seen someone who's been brought back from the dead.
