A bell rings. Shizune only has 10 minutes left to make her sandwich.

Though it's rather odd. Before it looked like she had much longer. Someone was probably messing with the clocks.

Shizune

When her minions get her the ingredient, Shizune begins cooking the meats and figuring out how she wants to make the sandwich. "Alright, wait... hmm, can I use that press? Probably."

OOC: If I take the bonuses from the Apron and Press, what does that get me?

Ashley


Ashley makes a supreme effort to get back to Shizune with what she found.

The judging begins.

A group of identical floating aliens with orange skin and large heads each ingest a single sandwich.

They then float to the top of the stadium. They grab what looks like a microphone and talk in unison.

<The Celebrati Hive Mind has decided a winner for the wild card competition.>

<The winner is contestant 56, Shizune.>

<She will be competing in the first round tomorrow as we have been given word that most of the contestants in the preliminaries have either forfeit or are hospitalized.>

Ashley rushes to the shuttle to check on Aya.

Aya's player is having internet issues.

Shizune

Shizune was holding her breath throughout the entire announcements with her fingers crossed.

Please that was enough, please that was enough, please that was enough...

<...Contestant 56, Shizune.>

"Oh thank god." She exhales and high fives her teammates, relieved. She then goes off to find Makoto.

Miranda

"Congratulations!" Miranda exclaimed as the announcement was given, giving Shizune a big hug when she came by for high-fives.

And now it's time for some investigations Miranda thought, slyly looking up at the timer.

OOC: Cunning 4 - (1d6*4)[24] Miranda is going to try and inspect the clocks and figure out if they were sabotaged, and if she can replicate that onto the competition later on.

Kitchen Stadium

Miranda manages to sneak an inspection at the clock.

The timer looks like a conventional clock, however a complicated computerized device sloppily attached to it. The device has a transceiver and appears designed to remove time from the timer whenever nobody is looking at it.

Miranda could probably recreate the device if she wanted to.

Shizune's stuff

Makoto is lounging by the hotel's pool.

"Oh, hello. I was kind of worried about you. You know that half the competitors are in the hospital?"

Reed's stuff

Nagi appears in front of Reed, hands Reed a legal document and a file.

The document has Reed's sister legally registered as a missing person. The file states that his sister is currently living on one of this planet's moons.

[Verlaufen]

Shizune

Shizune sighed. "Yeah, I noticed. Probably the only reason I made it in. Any idea how Aya's doing? Or where Haruhi is?"

[Yuki Akuma]

[OOC: Oh God I'm just totally lost now. I need to stop neglecting this game. :(]

"Everyone left the water planet and arrived on a different planet to participate in the Sandwich Festival."

"Shizune entered the Festival's Sandwich-Making Tournament and is moving on to the next round."

"Reed found out on the water planet that his sister was selling DNA. He later used the lead to get information on her whereabouts."

"An organization of butlers has entered the Tournament and is planning to defeat Butler X (The reigning champion) in the tournament due to Butler X's betrayal of said organization."

"Ashley is now alive again."

"Yuki is winning stuffed animals with her tremendous luck."

"Butler Bob is currently formulating a unified field theory. Too bad we haven't seen him in three episodes."




"There, I said it. Now where's my pay raise?"

Shizune

Shizune listens to the Narrator's explanation, and continued speaking to Makoto. "And also, any idea where Butler Bob is? The Narrator made me remember him."

[UglyPanda]

Hotel (Shizune)

"Aya is probably ok. Nagi is pretty good with his hands."

"Butler Bob is still on the ship and I'm still worried about you."

"It wasn't half the competitors in the wild card are hospitalized. It's half of them in the tournament altogether. There are only 16 competitors left, including you."

[Verlaufen]

Shizune

"Nagi's in charge of her?"

Lucky.

"Alright, then, I'm sure she'll be fine."

She then hears the part about the contestants.

"W-What? So... that means there's only 4 rounds? Did the writers just get lazy or something? Is Haruhi still alright?"

"And Why are you still worried?"

[UglyPanda]

Hotel

"Because of the reason that they're in the hospital."

"Most of them were either poisoned or beaten up. And those who aren't in the hospital quit for some unknown reason."

"You didn't think that there was some convenient disease going around, did you?"


"And Haruhi is fine, she's over there, swimming."

[Verlaufen]

Shizune

"I kinda hoped for that... I don't think I was poisoned or beaten up, but... I hope there's nothing wrong... what do you suggest I do?"

Ashley


Ashley decides to check out the hotel room assigned to Shizune now that she has made sure Aya was alright.

[UglyPanda]

Hotel Pool

"Well, I suggest you just sit tight for now. If anything bad happens, think angry thoughts and punch your watch. We'll come to help you."

Hotel Room 2424

Ashley sees that the room is a comfortable suite with two beds. The rooms haven't been assigned, so it's unsure who will be sleeping in the same room as Ashley.

In honor of the sandwich festival, the mint on Ashley's pillow is made of three mints smushed together.

[Siren]

Reed

Reed had watched the sandwich contest. He was very glad he wasn't involved. He liked staying in one piece. When Nagi gave him the papers he immediately looked through them and was confused.

"What the crap is she doing out here and how do I get to the moon?"

[UglyPanda]

Apparently, Reed doesn't remember that he works on a spaceship.

[Siren]

OOC: Reed doesn't decide where said spaceship goes though.

[Verlaufen]

Shizune

"Alright, thanks. I'm gonna go up to the rooms for a bit." Shizune goes up and into room 2424.

"Oh, hey. Thanks for the help in the opening round."

Hotel Pool

"I helped?"

Wherever Reed is

A commercial plays on a video screen by Reed. It advertises visiting in New Lunatic City, located on one of this planet's moons, only half an hour away by spaceship or shuttle.

OOC:
The ship has been moving over a hundred lightyears a day and you're worried that your character can't visit a moon?

You also need to stop assuming that nobody is going to help your character.

Hikari is now at the hotel, eating cotton candy and not doing much else. Because I had to place her somewhere.

Wherever Hikari is

Haruhi (wearing a bikini) and Yuki (carrying five rather large plushies in a toy wagon) greet Hikari.

"Hello again, cutie. You look kinda bored. Is something the matter?"

"I got all these plushies from winning games. Do you want one? I have a bear and a panda and dog and another dog and a giraffe."
