Sept frowns a little at hearing that they want her in their bed. Slowly she steps forward to wrap her arms around him. What they're doing is not right or fair. I'll do whatever I can to help. She's my daughter now too, Tobias.

No need to thank me. She's family. Besides what they're wanting isn't right. To adopt someone is one thing. But to do it while she already has a family. And to want to... She shudders at the thought, seeing Angela as a child.

Patty emerges from Matt's room, yawning, and wanders a bit.

Tobias, clearly thinking he's been a horrible father, keeps holding Sept. I was talking with BR, and he was keeping something from me, so I pressed... and he said that they both wanted to have Angela over every so often and make her a part of their marriage... I don't even know why BR thought this was a good idea... Maybe Marle is using it as a bargaining chip for something...

Patty pauses in a hallway, and smiles at Sydney. You know, I don't think I thanked you for that massage the other day.

It certainly was pleasurable for me. Patty winks, then looks thoughtful. Hm...would you know where the recruits get drilled, around here?

Umm... She shakes her head. There are no recruits training in the castle... but the officers would know where.

Ah. Patty nods. Maybe I'll try to find one later. She shrugs, her mind already elsewhere*. Do they have any gardens or anything?


* Specifically, trying to find her Goddess as she gently fingers her holy symbol.

Angela's far away, but Patty can easily talk, pray really, to her.

The Druid starts out of his reverie, then turns and tries to pull Sept into his lap. What did BR have to say?

She wraps her arms around his neck. Umm, it didn't happen. I went over there ready to set him straight. Then he sort of got my mind on something else... She looks ashamed, not realizing how that can be taken either.

He stares at her. W-what...? Do I need to, I don't know, castrate Don Juan or something...? He's joking, but only to hide his anxiety.

She blinks at him before catching on and quickly hugging him. Oh goodness, no. I didn't mean to imply that. It was information he found that distracted me. She tries to be as reassuring as she can.

Whew. He sighs and chuckles, hugging her back. What information did he make up to deflect your wrath?

It wasn't made up, I know that much. It was information on a computer. She hugs him a little tighter, remembering what all she read.

Those aren't mutually exclusive. But as she hugs him tighter he realizes that this is slightly more serious than he thought at first. Are you all right?

No, not really. I read some horrible things that were done...to you... She sighs and nuzzles her head into his neck.

That brings a small laugh from the angel. No, back when you were a child... She gets quiet waiting to see what he does.

What he does is crane his neck to look at her in utter bafflement. Dear, what are you talking about?
