I know. It's a miracle I'm not dead, really. Or at least morbidly obese. But in fact I've got a decent BMI and I'm fairly healthy, so it's a diet that's working pretty well for me. Tapeworm maybe.

Also, Body Mass Index is a load of crap. It's about the health-based equivalent of IQ tests for measuring intelligence.

Double also, I'm probably the charming and thoroughly dashing Zero-version of that. Doesn't matter what or how often I eat I will remain ten stone. Even as I get taller, or stronger, still ten stone.

My theory is that, to account for the density difference, a redistribution has happened. Most likely the removal of my cold, stone heart leaving an empty abyss.

See, my head knows this, especially since I'm (to put it mildly) on the short side of the height scale and BMI works even less well on the extremes.

My heart, however, warped by years of reading glamour magazines and watching Hollywood films, sees my BMI of 19 and goes "Thin! I'm thin! Society will accept me!". It's not really about science.

Wall-E is adorable. And the fact that you find it cute shows, I think, that your heart is nowhere near as cold as you make out.
