Layla finally gets to her feet and goes to the barred window of her cell. She wraps her long, slender fingers around the bars and peeks out.

May, Lee's sister is standing next to Layla's cell. If Layla sees her she will notice she looks kind of like Grant.

[Jacklu]

Lorial raises an eyebrow. Really. Good thing I'm not in the lower planes right now, right? She smiles. Or should I be worried?

Layla shakes her head, still unable to speak. She narrows her eyes slightly at the girl, noticing the resemblance...but then remembers what the other planar said about Grant. She just looks at the girl, looks around, and sighs.

You have nothing to fear from me.




May smiles brightly at Layla.

I'm May, Grant's little sister! I didn't know that big brother's friends were here!


Lee probably knew, he never tells me anything!


May seems to be about 19, just in case you didn't know.

When May mentions her brother, Layla narrows her eyes further and taps the side of her head. Then twirls a finger in the universal "crazy" motion. She's trying to tell the girl that there's something not right with Grant. Whether or not she understands that is up to her player.

She smiles at him and slides over towards him, possibly uncomfortably close. My... she is not wearing much at all, is she? The drone bobs into the room, somehow holding a tray with the two drinks. It hovers in front of the two. Announcement: I have your requested drinks. It was an honor to prepare drinks for one of your everlasting beauty. Lorial grabs her drink and sips it.

I know that his mind is shattered. Now would you mind if I healed you so that I can talk to me?

Layla pulls back. She doesn't want any help from any crazy planars.

Not all of us are crazy silly! Only big brother and his pals.

Layla bites her lip, but nods and steps forward. She lifts her chin to let May get at the bruises and swelling on her throat.

May tries to touch Layla's neck unless she is stopped.

Layla quietly clears her throat, then speaks. Her voice is like honey, beautiful and melodic, every word sounding like a song. "There is another planar controlling Grant. He showed up at my home, threatened to have Grant kill me and my husband, and then make him kill himself. Someone needs to stop him."

Oh don't worry about big brother silly! We know how to help him! All you need to do is go into his mind with us and unlock all the stuff that the other guy sealed away. Would you mind helping us out? I could probably spring you if I'm lucky.

Layla's eyes go wide and she nods eagerly. "Of course - Grant's my friend."

"You don't," a human voice says. Happy's hover chair arrives in the area, and she operates a control on her chair that sends most of the security drones back into the walls. "I just looked over the records, and she's accused of a pretty serious crime. Until that situation has been resolved, she'll have to stay here." Also, there's a deadtimed air elemental who would object to her leaving.
